Swim - you consistently provide insightful comments - so why do you disagree with Dragon on this DG / Borini thang? Its such an obvious observation - not knocjing Graham but simply looking to raise the bar to complement the team's massive progress..........?...?

Who says I'm disagreeing.... my concern was Dai saying DG needs to play midfield next year instead and the fear he might be cloned!? The rest is banter after a few beers

check my post at 19:07 on a different thread....

"No offence to DG who I rate.... I would gladly see us put in a 10 mill bid for Borini. Why not have the 2 of them!

Reality is different, the majority of this years budget may go on Siggy... if he doesn't sign (and I suspect we will know pretty early on) then Buck will have some serious money in the coffers! "

You misunderstand me Swimaway - I am an avid Swans fan (played for the Schoolboys with Deano et al, Paul Moriarty included, who unsurprisingly switched to rugby given his immenseness). Just saying DG has not and will not provide the right level of fire-power the team deserves

I think in all seriousness, jokes aside, we should sign Siggy, and a quality front man in the mold of Borini, it's where the money needs to be spent, then after that, I think a CB may be a good call! Hope we can keep hold of Joe Allen though...................... <ok>

I take it you are hopeful that Agustien and Situ will provide us a different look at times in midfield then? Fingers crossed.

I would have thought that at least 20 Million would go to Rodgers this season for a number of transfers, as we are now looking at another 45 million again this summer, that's a good 90+ Million in just over 12 months, not counting gate receipts and other sponsorship deals etc!............. <ok>

Yes swim we are well blessed with midfield players, and I was indeed thinking of Agustien and Situ, but also I would love to see Dobbie given the chance to answer his critics as well, as he can play well behind our front man, as we saw him do at Wembley!........ <ok>

Dragon - Dobbie would need to up his work rate to DG's level to get a look-in
He's consistently failed to do so, so not holding my breath unforunately as he's a huge talent

I think we won't see dobbie in a swans shirt again, a talent yes, a lovely guy yes, but I don't think he will be in the plans as the club moves forward, he will be offloaded in the summer I think.

I would be amazed if Blackpool don't sign him and he wants to go .... can't say I would blame him either.

I was just checking Wiki to see how long he has left on his contract and it seems some Blackpool twat has been toying around (see personal life)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Dobbie
The way the blackpool rag has written it makes it come across he wanted Jack to be born out of Wales!!

After seeing that, they can **** off if they think they can sign him

Yes I agree on that, he needs to put in the type of performances, that he did against Forest in the play off semi final, and Wembley!.............. <ok>
