If we're gonna go without stripes this would be a nice compromise... germany's last year's home shirt. I quite like it. Although I'm guessing we're probably gonna get something really plain. please log in to view this image
I challenge them to do worse than we've has so far: Last season home - nasty looking tyre track stripes on the front, and a plain back. It looked like two different shirts had been stuck together, and then they made it out of an incredibly poor standard material that felt like it was a £5 market stall knock off. Last season away - in principal a decent plain design. In practice they couldn't manage to make the adidas stripes the same colour as the amber trim that went round the FL badge. A ridiculous situation given the stripes ran into the loop in quaestion. This season home - the amber on the body of the shirt is a completely different colour to the amber stripes. It's a complete mess and probably the worst home shirt I can remember, even worse than the 1980s throw back pinstripe we had a few years ago. This season away - the best they've given us, but sky blue with white adidas stripes, how difficult is it to realise that if you have a pale shirt the trim should be dark and not bleeding well white? I said it this time last year, and I'll stand by it now, since we got relegated the biggest disappointment for me has been the crap adidas have churned out. What's the point of having a big name kit supplier if they can't even produce stuff that would be worth paying £5 for at Walton Street market?
The top one for me every time as its so distinct and everyone knows us for that strip from the first PL season. Fusion Blue for the away one and white as a 3rd strip when needed. Get rid of that awful Coventry City lookalike strip of this season please.
The away kit of this season is our new 3rd kit next season, if you go in Tiger Leisure it says on the wall that they are not reduced because it is the 3rd kit next season.
I know I've slagged off the pin stripe we had for looking like an 80s throw back, I think I was slightly out on that description. I'd be quite happy with a pin stripe kit like you've posted, but if we're going with it I think it needs to be a cotton style shirt like our Centenary home kit rather than the tacky feeling material most shirts are made of. That away kit just needs the collar and adidas badge turning to amber and we're there. Is that one of the adidas templates you've played with?
im with you on that one altho could make it look like its been torn by a claw instead of 3 black pinstripes haha
Totally agree - plenty of amber for good visibility, diagonal stripes give subtle 'tiger' quality - shorts? - take care not to spoil the effect!
word is that it's going to be amber bottom half, black from the pecs up.. official pics were shot a few weeks ago. everyone sworn to secrecy for some mad reason..
TWF - I kinda like 2 & 5 Anyone had any luck in finding the carlsberg logo shirt that was floating round a couple of years ago? EDIT: and by that I mean the picture not the actual shirt becase the actual shirt was never made
