Reading issued their list on Wednesday so ours shouldn't be far behind. What are your thoughts on which players might be missing out on the new era in the Premier League?
Think Reading were a bit quick of the mark. Hope the players enjoy their trip to Vegas first...unless Cortese wants to save on a few airfares I suppose some will know that they are leaving in their heart of hearts, but a few may still hope to stay and be disappointed.
I don't want to know or speculate at the moment. Let us all and especially the players have a couple of weeks of sheer joy.
It has to be submitted in the next couple of week's. I think it's the 3rd Saturday in May from memory.

Oh sorry I missed that. Thanks. Although I Can't see them going somewhere the press know they are heading. Probably too public for the clubs point of view, a lot better if it is a secret location.
Yes a paid for trip for 5 days Worth all the hard work they put in. On the playing side, most players have had a meeting this week to discuss if and where they are in the plans for next season. I don't know of any releases just a couple of positive retained. There will be some sad news for some but on the retained side NA makes them all feel they have a big part to play in next season. Maybe because he knows we will have a larger bench next season
In Las Vegas they will be complete unknowns. They went last year without trouble. Adkins didn't go last time....I wonder who babysits them.
Adkins did say in his interview that he was meeting with the players this week for one - ones. So they probably all now know what his plans are for them next year. I personally think alot of talk on here is about getting rid of several of the players that were fringe players this year but surely if they are still under contract won't they stay at the club and go out on loan. How does it work say for the likes of Dickson and Forte for example who have time left on their contracts but have been out on loan this year ? really confusing !
There will be players on contract who will be/have been told that they no longer fit in...they will be placed on the transfer list to try and get a new club. Usually under these circumstances the club make it easy for them to move with no large price on their heads. If a place isn't found they could be loaned out but will still receive their wages under their present contract. I think we will be surprised how many are kept on.
Oh thanks for that. I can't see there being a lot leaving like is being speculated on here as we have a lot of players under contracts. So really It is in the players interest to get a loan deal if they can and are not in the premiership plans and they will still keep their contracted wages ? Is that right ?
Saints have to pay their contracts. Some players sit it out, but most would rather play somewhere than not at all. Usually a compromise is reached to suit all parties. Didn't Bridge's manager moan that he seemed willing to sit his contract out. The other problem can be if a player (let's call him Forecast for the sake of argument) is on a long contract, on decent pay but isn't good enough to move on.
