Is it just me or do I feel so much more confident with Perch at RB. Nothing against Simpson, he is very solid, but I don't see why Perch should lose his place if Simmo is fit for the weekend.

I dont know... Simpson is very good at being in the right place at the right time...

With regards to perch he has had an amazing season but for some reason i am still waiting for that massive f*** up which could be just around the corner... (Remembering last season)

Perchino has improved out of all recognition this year and in my opinion he is a better defender than Simpson, however I think Simmo is better going forward.
    Overall give me Perchino.

To be honest, I prefer Simmo for his all round player, but since Perchinio has improved, it's made me feel like I'll be less gutted if we lose Simmo, as we have decent cover in Perch.

I'm still preplexed as to why Perch played RB and Santon LB, not the other way around.

Simpson does **** all in attack anyway. When was the last time any of his crosses ever amounted to anything, apart from that cross which ended up going in the net during that cup game?

I prefer Simpson there but after Wednesday I don't think Pards can even think about dropping one of the back four. All were a different class. Keep Perch in for the moment, Simpson will have to work his way back in. He could do with a rest anyway.

    Perch 150%

It was amazingly refreshing to see someone for us playing at right back who can do the basics so well, such as ushering attackers away from the box rather than backing off and inviting them to have a shot or cross, a right back who can cut out passes to the wing before they become dangerous, and a right back who can stick like glue to his man and not be constantly out of position.

I fully believe that even during our best performances Simpson always looks a liability, hes had his decent games aswell but overall I dont rate him and would love Perch to carry on in that position until we buy either a quality RB or LB in the summer.

Perch was so good last night I would be happy with him as first choice RB for next season, he was THAT good, simply stunning.

It's a tough call. Simmo had a shocker against Wigan, he needed a break, he apologised as well, can happen. Perch was fantastic against Chelsea and I feel when it's all hands to the pump Perch is the better defender, however going forward Simpson is. Also we don't really know what Perch can do when going forward when he settles into the role, he's very defensive minded however, but maybe that is just what he's been told to do, when he plays midfield he rarely goes past midway just takes and passes it on.

The Simmo haters just haven't been watching us properly this season. He's had bad games for sure but a hell of lot more good ones. Ever present up until Chelsea for a reason and won us points single handedly at times. Unfortunately with some fans at times, just ride rough shod over all their good work and try to focus on the negative because they've got it into their head someones ****e and refuse to change.

You have to give credit where its dues. Its the same with Shola. I have been his biggest critic because of his pure laziness. But I have to say in the 2nd half of the season we have found a role which suits him and he has done an excellent selfless job for the team.

All in all I'd struggle to name many players who have not been good this season. Gosling would be one but his opportunities have been limited as a result.

OK, right, so just to be clear then: having sold Carroll, Enrique, Nolan + Barton and all the doom and gloom we faced at the start of the season, NUFC are now 'guaranteed' european football next season, sit just 1 point behind Arsenal who are third, are above Chelski, 16 points above Liverpool, 20 points above the Mackems (THE most important factor), have found some amazing new signings in the 'bargain bucket' AND... James Perch seems to have become a fans' favourite!!!!!!

RIGHT, I knew I was in dreamland, but this actually IS a dream (like that whole series of Dallas - or was it Dynasty, I don't know and don't care, never watched either).

Lads, PLEEEEAAASE don't wake me up, I'm enjoying this one!!
