Unfortunately Demba hasn't scored much since coming back from the ACN. Only 1 goal.

I was literally open mouthed though, to see that even though he's not scored recently, that his goals to games ratio for us is still 1 goal in every 2 games...

    wow.

Cisse is looking amazing at the moment, but there's no doubt that when Ba is in scoring form, he's not far behind Cisse if he's behind him at all.

Cisse's definitely the best finisher, but Ba has physical presence, better pace, better in the air and is also, when playing with confidence, great on the ground.

Cisse is playing better than Ba ever has for us, but for a seasons work, you have to give it to Demba. Scored vital goals and carried us at times when we were still figuring out our style.

Demba has accepted a new role without complaint and most of his performances have still been great.

Player of the season has to be Colo or Cabaye.

Ba's a good player and a good team man. We're lucky to have such good strikers.

Think that overall, Colo has to be our player of the season. He's lead the team well.

Definitely not Cabaye player of the season. He's been great for a lot of it, but a tad inconsistent. He was outshone by Guthrie mid season.

Colo is worthy of a shout, definitely the most consistent performer, but Ba takes it for me.

Colo for me. Rarely puts a foot wrong and a good captain.

Colos has been terrific as has Krul and most others as well. Even Willo deserves a big shout, he came out from the cold, not having played in months and he's been good. I mean that tackle on Drogba the other day? He floored him big time. And this is Willo who no one really rates past a decent championship defender. Really our whole team has been absolutely terrific. For me Ba gets the shout because he's been there every single time with a smile on his face. Even when he thumped the crossbar on wednesday he was smiling. Also without Ba's early consistent goals we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are, he sat us on our way pretty much by himself, we weren't playing such great stuff early doors. He won us quite a few games where we were playing poorly all by himself.

Another player that deserves a mention. He's been asked to play a completely different role lately and he's done it without fault. He's been running his heart out alongside Tiote at times and been a big part of why we've been so hard to break down.

Hands down though, Ba has been my outstanding player of the season overall.

Yes I get your point ,but what does smiling have to do with this? And you didn't mention who is your "Another player"

Colo comfortably for me. I can probably count on 2 fingers his poor games. His performances and leadership have been exemplary. He has marshalled the team and that back four like King Leonidas did the spartan army. He does it in a quiet manner but a very effective one. Since arriving his professionalism along with Jonas has been first class. The you look at the actual business end out on the pitch and your respect just goes up.

Krul would be my second pick as I think he's been terrific for a young keeper. The I'd go Jonas for consistency and pure work ethic. After that you have groups of players that have played well but had their dips in form, or struggled to make an impact/break in early doors but have influenced the season massively anyway. Simppson has had an excellent season. Very consistent and always bounced back superbly from the odd poor game. Mentally the kid is tough. Benni 2nd half of the season has come up with big goals and assists. Ba's goals in the early part of the season, Cisse since he came in. Tiote has had a truncated season but still performed well, and won some of the big games by taking control. Cabaye started like a train, and then suffered a big mid season dip as he struggled with our winter period and lack of a winter break. He has come strong again now and next season could be special. Santon has been well managed and done really well. Ryan Taylor has quietly been moved around, doing a job wherever. Perch has overcome a sticky period. Williamson has come through some tough mental battles with himself and performed above his capabilities really. You could go on and on, and you soon realise that while you can pick out star performers, it really has been a big squad effort. Pards deserves credit for how he has managed all that.
