Fair play too him. What I don't understand s why did our scouts travel to Denmark to watch a Dutch league game?

    Stupid boy!

Not for missing the game - that's totally understandable. But, both he and his agent would have been aware that Liverpool were sending scouts. One telephone call along the lines of "If you were considering attending this match......." (we have to remeber the 'tapping-up' rules!) would have removed any problem.

The lad is a prospect and one of many. He is not a superstar. You don't piss off a prospective employer with statements like "that's their problem". Merely a statement like that sours attitudes and could cost him a golden opportunity - and that is silly.

It seems to me like the media have created a mountain out of a mole hill and tried to wind up the situation......

Liverpool probably didnt mind he had gone to be at the birth, and he certainly did the right thing....

    Just the media causing ****....again!!

Entirely agree with his priorities, but perhaps he could have been less belligerent about it. But then you don't know how the questions were thrown at him- we all know how hacks love to get a response.

  14. He didn't know the Liverpool scouts were there, it was the birth of his child and what else was he suppose to say without upsetting the AZ Alkmaar fans...?
