Alan states stitches put in his face but otherwise he's fine and has no doubt he'll want to play in Sunday's game with Citeh. The man is a true warrior.
They say Chuck Norris fears no one. But who is no one? Cheik Tiote is no one, he is a machine. Legend. Thanks for bringing him to the PL.
If the FA don't look at that then they are in cloud cuckoo land. It was blatant what he did and for Halsey not to see anything wrong in it then he needs my specs.
If the FA don't review the challenge then they are a disgrace. It was obviously pre meditated and even the Southern biased commentators said so. Halsey needs glasses, FAST
To be fair at first look it looked like an accident, Halsey saw it as this and the FA won't be able to charge him.
would he not be asked to look at it again, like Probert had to against Cabaye, Like Webb did against Williamson, both of these were seen by the officials at the time but when pressed by the media changed their tunes if he had seen it from another angle would he of acted differently or does it just work one way ?
Lets begin to face facts to the team well done won on merit but Tiote once again bust lip and ten minutes stoppage carried off on stretcher almost as bad as when Sess nearly killed him
"A nine-inch gash, 400 stitches, but it's just a scratch to him,'' he said. "He'll have a little patch on him on Sunday and he'll play.'' Alain Pardeaux
Even Jamie Redknap was incensed about the foul on Tiote, said it should be investigated, it was premeditated.
Redknapp's know all about investigations don't they..... Having said that I wouldn't mind inspecting louise..
Won't be review, Halsey saw it, deemed it an accident, unless he changes his mind, which is possible. I doubt anything will happen because Tiote is ok, if he was seriously injured they'd probably be forced to review it and ban Mikel for the rest of the season, but not in time for the FA cup final so what difference does it make? No question Mikel meant to elbow him, probably not to hurt him though, it's just one of those things. It was dangerous though.
I'm sure because the ref didn't book him and because of the extent of the injury the FA can review it even if the ref doesn't. The FA can act if they want to, whether they do is another matter.
As we watched last night the lads I was watching said "he's out for Sunday and probably the season now". I said "nah he'll be fine. Ignore all the oxygen etc they do it as a precaution". I got a torrent of abuse from them telling me to not be so stupid, he'll have concussion and there are rules around that. I sat pretty smug when Pards came out and said its just a cut and he'll be fine. You have to remember, this Urak-Hai was created in the fires of Mordor
