that cisse's 2nd goal vs chelsea is pure magic. If suarez 3rd goal vs Norwich is audacious then this goal is the work of a magician. what a goal!
Disagree. Luis' was better against Norwich, so was Crouch's against Man City. Cisse and everyone else thought it wasn't going on. Plus Cech should've saved it. Still a great goal, mind, but I've seen better this season.
Not for me. This is unstoppable, look at the swerve. The Suarez goal was great, but been done countless times and better before. Crouch was simply a hit and hope. please log in to view this image
Please...Crouch's was pure fluke, he had no idea where the keeper was and just twatted it. You can argue between Suarez or Cisse though, but I'd tip it Cisse's way.
Suarez's goal wins for me because: It sealed a fantastic hattrick. He looked up, measured it, and pulled it off. Cisse's was brilliant, no doubt, but to say he meant every inch of it is a stretch. He's actually looking to the top left corner when he hits it. It ends up top right. Fantastic? Absolutely. Full intended to swerve in like that? Not really.
Maybe - but I would have thought going for the top left facing at that angle he would have put his laces through it rather than striking it with the outside of his foot. He wasn't facing at the right angle to bend it into the top left corner hitting it like he did. I think he went for the spectacular and actually pulled it off, perfectly.
That was not unstoppable, the keeping was just not very good. His effort at keeping it out was basically standing in the same spot and stretching as high up as he could. He should've been going backwards, not sideways like he did. It was an easy tip over the bar had Cech positioned himself correctly. And that looks as much hit and hope as Crouch's to me, they're all turning away before it goes in, including Cisse.
That's were the swerve worked. Cech clearly thinks it's going to the left, he even moves that way. It then swerves so quickly he can't get back in time and gets truly rooted in the middle.
have to disagree with most of you. Cisse's goal was fantastic too look at but in realty it was hit and hope - just look at his reaction after he'd hit it. No point in trying to compare that with Suarez's goal as Suarez was a deliberate strike.
He was at the right angle. Bending it top left with the outside of his foot is entirely possible from there. In fact, if he'd hit it slightly lower and it took the same flight path, it would've gone top left. Look at the gif again. I was perhaps doing him too much justice saying he was 'looking' top left. He's actually not even looking at the goal at all.
This. He doesn't look at the goal before striking it, and is surprised when it ends up in the net. If you're judging the goal purely on how it looks, then Cisse's is probably better than Suarez's. But when you factor in intent, context, goalkeeping etc. Suarez's comes out on top. As Lucaaas points out, if Cech takes a couple of strides back instead of to his right, he's tipping it over.
