Read this on the BBC sports day page and is really sums up what this guy is about. With Villa still fighting for there prem lives , Mcleish asked Bent if there was any chance he could play or make the bench for the last game of the season. This is Bent's answer " no ,not quite but I am making good progress So boss it should be soon" .Now correct me if I am wrong but dosn't the season end after the last game............ Hang on a minute isn't there a little tournament in the summer or something.
So he has the balls for the fight then? He's an arsehole for sure. Everything the Spuds told us about him has been proved correct.
Problem is for the Euro's, who the **** else do we take?? Welbeck, Sturridge, Crouch...... erm.... We are **** for strikers at the minute. Someone like Holt or Danny Graham may need a chance!
I love England in a tournament me Billy, even though we always **** it up. At least i'll get to join in the street parties when Spain inevitably win it...
I used to get all excited about it but not for years now. I'd rather watch the womens beach volleyball at the olympics.
Ha ha. You and me both kidda, but that's a different gravy altogether There'll be some good nipple action in that London !
Think the Germans may suffer due to a lack of pace in midfield and up top, but they will be strong, as always. Spain or Holland for me, they are way ahead of everyone else. The Dutch have often been slow at the back and that's been a way at them, but with Anita & Van der Wiel, they've not got as big an issue there. France may surprise a few as well, recovering under Blanc, and some unbelievable talent, if they can stick together.
How do the French lineup nowadays? They could have an unreal team with the likes of Evra,Cabaye,BenArfa,Nasri,Ribery,Benzema,Giroud. Also Belgum could have an outside chance, they have Kompany, Vermaelen, Fellaini, Defour, Hazard. We don't stand a chance tbh.
Belgium are a definite side to watch, although I still think they need a couple of years, they will be a side at the next world cup. Add to you list Witzel, Lukaka bros, super Mig! Gonna be a smashing side.
You know mate, he probably could do a better job than anyone i've listed! I do fancy a Welbeck/Sturride combo long term mind, think they will do well. Then i look at Giroud/Benzema, Gomez/Klose, Pedro/Torres, Di Natale/Quagriella and I think, pah.
Belgium didn't even qualify... So weird, they have a cracking team as you say but never qualify for anything! Although to be fair, they have quite a young squad, reckon they will start to do a lot better in the very near future, can see them absoltely storming their qualifying group for WC2014. And MM, they do hav super mig but don't they also have that other young keeper, who chelsea signed for stupid money and immediately loaned out to athletico madrid? Thought he was meant to be the next big thing, have you seen him play much? Any good? Should our mig fear for his spot?!? haha Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thibaut_Courtois that's the one - conceded less than a goal a game in the belgian title winning side at age 18 chelsea signed him for 8m - that's almost as much as Craig Gordon!
They have Gillet as well, another very decent keeper, plays Serie A, but as i'm balls deep in Magners, I can't remember who for!
Me to mate, lost confidence, and belief in England and pro footballers long ago. bout time they entered the real world of normal peopl.
Well Bent's team-mates are up for the fight. With their side currently making flirty eye-contact with relegation across the smoky honky tonk, itâll no doubt come as welcome news to fans of the club that three Aston Villa players â James Collins, Fabian Delph and Chris Herd â are to be fined after being caught on camera getting bolshy outside Gatecrasher nightclub in Birmingham at 2:45am on Tuesday morning. The incident took place after the three players ventured into town after Villaâs end-of-season awards (presumably they didnât have to spend an awful lot on trophies this time round), which saw Herd kicking at the clubâs glass doors before being restrained while Collins and Delph swore angrily at the bouncers. All three men have apologised for their behaviour in an official club statement. Said Collins: âI let myself get into a position in which I didnât act responsibly and I apologise for this. It was a Monday night, it was early in the week and I didnât have training the next day. âBut I know Iâve let myself down, Iâve let the club down, Iâve let the manager down and, most of all, Iâve let down the fans of Aston Villa â who have been great to me.â Delph added: âI am injured, I wonât be fit again until pre-season and I probably thought that going out would not carry any consequences. I was sober, I was in control of my actions and I did try to calm down the situation. âI didnât hit out or strike anyone but I should not have been there and I was wrong to be in this position.â Herd then had the final word: âMy actions on the night were out of character. Iâll do everything I can to make it up to the club and the fans, as they have been fantastic since Iâve joined the team. âMy immediate aim is to help the team to finish the season strongly and to secure our position in the Premier League.â *Finger wag* Youâve let Pies down, youâve let the school down but worst of all, youâve let yourselves down. All three have since been fined by Villa, with the money being split between the Cure Leukaemia and Anthony Nolan Blood Cancer charities
This. Spain have shot their bolt. The new young guns of Jarmanee will triumph imo. Worse ****ing luck. LOl
