Hopefully the Allams will have heeded the response and Nick will still be in charge at the start of next season
I've seen all sorts of rubbish since my first game in 1972 and traipsed around some of the worst grounds in English football watching some of the worst dross served up in a black and amber shirt but somehow this is the worst I've ever felt about City. Nicky Barmby is the dream manager for City and if this turns out the way it is looking it will be one of the most shameful episodes in the club's history - along with the evils visited on the club by the likes of Fish and Lloyd.
So long as we've got our replacement in and he's had a sit down with our key players I'd quite like that.
What I hope for Nick is that he takes some time to digest what's happened and to decide what he wants to do next. If that is some sort of coaching/management job in football, and he's serious about it , he needs to buckle down and get his coaching badges, and then see what opportunities open up for him. If he wants to walk away from Football, then he's presumably wealthy enough to have any number of options open to him. I really wish him well, whatever he decides, and I'm sure that goes for all the posters on here.
Nick Barmby will be Hull City's assistant manager for next season. This is what I hope and may be the only way to keep the players happy as well as the fans.
OK, so the Allams say fair enough we'll go. Just walk away without asking for anthing back. Do you really think the club is self sufficient now? How long will it last without their ongoing funding? Would the Banks back it without their guarantee? Would they bollocks! And before you say we'd get new owners - who? There wasn't a queue round the block last time. And Adam Pearson doesn't use his own money (here or Derby)so he's probably running out of rich gullible friends!
