Whoever it is needs to get our full support. The situation is completely ****ed up and the owners and clueless but I'd hate for us to go all 'Blackburn' and start hating whatever manager they bring in just because of the association with the owners. By all means despise what the owners have done and by all means hold NB in a higher esteem than the new manger but let's still get behind him. It's hard to argue with Davies' record but he's a bit of a **** and if this is how the owners react to such a harmless interview I don't see how he would last long at all. McCarthy is a decent manager but also a bit of a knob at times. Also he had a better team at Wolves than some other teams and yet they'll finished bottom. PB has unfinished business here but a lot of fans don't like him.
have hated Davies (poisionous scottish dwarf) for years. he has this persecution complex and attitude and would be a worse appointment than even Dowie. and as for Mad Mick, would be great but would he want to work for the Allems and the transfer budget. I can see it being an out of work journey-man man who has always worked in the bottom 2 divisions. going to do some research now about names
I hate Davies as a human being too - but that's not to say his style doesn't necessarily work. He and the Allams would be a match made in hell, though - they may as well all turn up wearing boxing gloves from day one.
Unless it's just an excuse they're using to get rid of Barmby in the hope they can avoid compensation this way.
There's going to be a "salute to City legends" before the first home game of next season. Your favourites from the 60s onwards will be hailed by the crowd before being dressed up in inflatable giant outfits and made to take part in a Rumbelows sprint challenge. The top 3 will then each get three opportunities to kick a penalty through a bedsheet with holes cut in it. The winner then wins a caravan and the top seat in the home dugout for the rest of the season. His backroom staff will be selected at random after discarding anyone who is in his filodex (well we don't want him taking the backroom staff with him when he leaves!)
IMO Mcarthy would want too much wages (as comes with experience) I dont really rate Davies but I believe he never got on with the Forest chairman due to transfer funds. My money is on Brian Laws !!
Well after Mick McCarthy my personal choice would be someone nobody's mentioning... Lee Clark! Good young manager who knows his stuff about football. Keep Wigley as his right hand man. Cheeky bid for Jordan Rhodes too?
Both names being mentioned are proven managers. My condern is that our youthful team was put together by NP there was some continuity with NB taking over a fellow player and consumate professional but a totally new manager to the club may be a little unsettling..
My worst nightmare is Dowie/Megson or Davies. In Davies credit he has a good record, but he'd make a good Gollum if they do another Lord of the Rings film, maybe he's just been filming the Hobbit on his time-out
