Close season of all time! We have so much too look forward to, a lot of things would be exciting if we were a Championship club, but we're not, we're a Premier League club, so things have gone up the excitement table a few notches. Like the fixture list, a new kit (if it happens), transfers in & out (the speculation is already red hot), Training ground developments & then finally the pre season friendlies, oh its sooooo good. Whilst this is all happening we have a little tournament taking place, the Euro's 2012, with the new man in charge; None other than Mr Face-rubber............Roy, lets all get behind him, even when the media start taking cheap shots. Then theres the GB team for anyone who likes 'car crash' football with Beckham taking centre stage, then some football mixing up some unhappy home nations, well worth a watch I'm sure. And if thats not enough for us lucky little fans, we have loads of made up speculation by the papers, West Ham & Birmingham going into financial melt down, Cardiff getting promoted to the prem for the 1st time, Pompey find a new 'billionaire' from the middle east & the Southampton Not606 Forum being uploaded to the 1st page, the EPL. Sit back & relax, this is going to be one great adventure! Well done Mods, already a good site, but now we're going first class! UTS
How I love the P/O's, well when we're not in them anyway! Sam's been bleating again I see. He's turned into a walking talking contradiction over the past few weeks!
On the subject of Woy, the Telegraph say he's an 'old-school socialist' who speaks over 5 languages and enjoys Czech literature. Interesting.
Even when we're not in them, playoffs make me nervous. So much at stake, and I can't help but empathise as we've been through it before and it's oh so painful when you're knocked out. I'll be rooting for Blackpool I think, but will still feel a lot of sympathy for all the losers.
I can't stress how much I want to see WHU go out the playoffs...the look on their faces! And financial meltdown next season
Granted Sam Allardyce speaks utter BULL !!! His team ( when not hoofing it ) play some lovely football. I reckon this should be enough to see them through play offs BUT will enjoy watching knowing that no matter wht the result, saints are unaffected
Just seen Fonte on Player. Says people questioned why he came to a League 1 team, but he said he had no doubt once he met Nicola and heard about the plans for the club. That Nicola...what a car salesman he would have made
Looking forward to Euro 2012 now Hodgson is in charge. We might be pleasantly surprised. Probably not, but we might be.
When England have a decent side, we get out of the group stage and go out in the first knock out stage. I suspect we'll do exactly the same with the rather poor team we'll have this year.
