Why is it when the mardy arses from up north wanted our players on the cheap that was ok...now the shoe is on the other foot ...we are loathsome ? http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=news&news_id=925
We had players that, ok were not first team choices, but wanted to play with NP which is why they got them for knock down fees. Most HCFC fans seem content with Hobbs and Fryatt, and enjoyed having Waghorn on loan (when he got to play). So 3 of their players now want to follow NP but this time its over to us. Deal with it! Players excel and are happier playing for different managers. Bitterness is the correct choice of phrasing!
I'm not being funny, but when Pearson approach Stewart in January, I said it was to send out a message to the player rather than to meet Hull's rather ridiculous asking price. By all accounts, Stewart has been out-of sorts since then. Coincidence? Seems to me like his mind as been elsewhere the last four months!
He really wasn't that clever before he got injured. Trust me. One trick pony who any half decent team can cancel out with the minimum of effort. The last twenty four hours have been a bit ****ty for us. I can honestly say if Stewart said he was off It wouldn't even register. That's how much I don 't rate him.
To be fair, the players they got from us were surplus under Sven - hence the lack of commotion. Now, we're after their best players so they will be a bit more cheesed off about it. But to suggest we're doing something wrong or immoral is a bit OTT.
I was thinking more in terms of Chester and Koren. But from what I've seen, I do like Stewart though.
Not from me you wasn't. I'll be gutted if Chester of Koren join you. Disappointed if Evans does and not in the slightest bit arsed if Stewart becomes a Fox. I can't be more honest than that.
Not to sure about Stewart, but NP must rate him. As for Evens, Chester & Koren ummmmmmmm ! Next we´d be changing our names. Leicester 'Hull rejects' City, Hull 'Leicester rejects' City.
Given the interview today you might want to rethink that. For the benefit of Leicester fans - they said we received bids for several players last week and they were all rejected. No specific bids but confirmed that the media reports about who and which clubs weren't far off the mark. Strangely we haven't had any contact from the clubs since the kerfuffle kicked off.
I think you could possibly get Koren, you could almost certainly get Stewart, but I don't think you've much chance with Chester, we've had several approaches.
Do you think the your owners stance as changed regards to selling to us or do you think they have probably forced their own hand in what has happened in the last week?
I think any of our players will probably cost you more than they would cost anyone else and I think this weeks events make it far less likely that any of our key players will leave.
I think Stewart may leave because he hasn't been very good, I think Koren may leave because I think he wants to and I think Chester may possibly leave because a Premier League club may come in for him, though I don't believe any will leave on the cheap and if our owners are making the decisions, they probably won't leave at all(a lot will depend on who the new manager is and what he wants to do).
