http://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/wanderers/9677181.Waddock__We_ll_be_stronger_next_season/ is he having a laugh.the thought of waddock as our manager again next season makes me mad .
Nothing like a one word answer js.let me put it this way our defence has been a joke this season and that is down to waddock. if he gets us up again and thats a big if would you be confident on him to lead us again in the first division and not be the whipping boys of the division again.lack of fight and effort in a lot of games this season is not acceptable and waddock clearly has poor motivational skills.you only have to look at the huddersfield massacres to realise that fact.
I think a lot of Blues fans have been very supportive towards Waddock, but he has now had two and a half seasons in which we have not shown any improvement. The constant revolving door with players coming and going just shows his efforts in teh transfer market have been poor. I've said it before, but he is the Steve Bruce of League 1/2. We know that we will have little funds to play with next season, so what we need is someone who can get the best out oof what we have (a real motivator) or someone who has player connections to bring in some quality or some great loan signings. There is no hatred of Waddock from my side, purely frustration. We are probably in a worse place now than we were when we went down two seasons ago. Our midfield currently stands as follows: Ainsworth - Probably will retire, if not is only goods for short spells Bloomfield - a total trier, but lacks quality Lewis - a good league 2 player Halls - not good enough from what we've seen McNamee - total lack of effort & lightweight Kewley-Graham - too early to say, but shouldn't be expected to play more than a bit part Scowen - as above I know we are all banging on about our defensive frailties, but the midfield is also extremely worrying.
Sadly i think Js is right. I don't like waddock, i think there has been many footballing issues most notably the lack of sorting out the defensive issues we have had this season, the lack of responsibility on his part, the lack of being proactive to force the opposition to think differantly mean he should go. However, who would come in? Who would want to come? I can't answer these questions therefore it probably is a wise move to stick and maybe twist later.
We need a fresh approach starting with hayes at the top and then the manager.kieth scott couldnt do any worse than waddock.
Keith scott couldn't do any worse than waddock but as long as hayes is around that won't happen. I know hayes is on bail, but even if this is resolved there is still the small issue of wasps and the lack of a new owner for them. Until that gets sorted no finalising of the end of year accounts will be done - Finchy will have to confirm that but either way it needs sorting and it won't be done anytime soon. Until then we are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Agreed. Lets not make it personal. What the hell was he supposed to say???! People on here would have gone mad if he'd been negative - we cant knock him for putting a brave face on it and trying to sound positive. It really feels that a lot of frustrations with the clubs hierachy are being used to bash Waddock (by the same people who were calling him the next MON less than a year ago). Sadly, it looks to me that WWFC also have their fair share of fairweathers.....
i aint no fairweather fan devon,i spend a lot of money watching the blues home and away and am entitled to my opinion mate as you are yours so lets agree to disagree on this one.waddocks signings well most of them have been terrible, halls tunny, macnamee ,harding etc,how come he can spot a good loan signing but wastes the clubs money on no hopers when we buy them.we cant defend to save our lives ,the thrashings we have suffered this season were embarrasing to say the least and yet waddock does nothing to rectify it until its too late,is that the sign of a good manager 86 goals against is a disgrace
What do you mean Rocky "Waddock does nothing to rectify it until it's too late". It is too late and he still hasn't rectified it. 86 goals. At least it didn't have a 1 in front - thanks to Bully.
From what I gather with regards to the accounts, Wycombe have not prepared any forecasts. In order for the accounts to be signed off as the company (Wycombe) being a going concern (i.e being able to survive for at least 12 months from the date of signing of the accounts) the directors have to show they have considered at least the next 12 months. The usual way this "consideration" is shown is by way of forecasting. If Wycombe cannot forecast (realistically) that in the next 12 months they are a going concern unless the Wasps situation is resolved then we are very much dependent on this Wasps situation or we file accounts that are likely to contain a qualified audit report on the basis of going concern so they wont really be worth the paper they are written on! As for the manager situation I am in agreement with Rocky as to Waddock's ability to manage but as the whole ownership situation appears to be very much coming to a head, then it is probably worth waiting until that is resolved first. As if we get rid, get a new manager, then a new owner comes in (dependent on who that is) they may not wish to go with the new manager and the whole situation gets more and more expensive for the club. If Hayes is looking to stay (which seems unlikely from all the noises being made) then a swifter decision I think should be taken. In conclusion: We are in a mess!!!
Finchy it sounds like we are up the creek without a paddle.all is depedent on hayes and wasps.am i right in thinking if you buy a season ticket now and the club goes bust you get next to nothing back
My presumption would be yes but not many teams have gone totally bust in recent times in that usually administration hits. The administrator will continue to try to run the club as a going concern with the likely aim of selling the club on. However, if the doors closed on the club for good I would be surprised if you would see your money again if you bought a season ticket.
