I think with Wellens out injured and no longer up to it maybe Pearson wanted someone else to come in a help us unlock defences. Drinkwater was the only creative midfielder we had towards the end of the season along with Ben Marshall who is meant to be a winger though

So you really think 4m is a good offer for three of the best championship players ? You are clearly out of touch with the current transfer market even boring boring nigel valued Chester at 5m when he was here so to suggest we would take 4m for him and two others is just stupid and deluded
I dont see why we are looking at Koren if hes just as old as Wellens, hes prob more attacking than Wellens, but still, not really a long term solution.
It's all a bit early isn't it, I thought we were meant to play through our pre season friendlies and then sign players 24 hours before our first match! Anyway I'd still love us to sign Whittingham, if Cardiff don't go up, as he'd bang in some goals
Would be a good signing I think. As long as they don't charge us a ridiculous fee which they don't seem to be in a position to do. We still have plenty of youth in midfield with the likes of Drinkwater and King. He would basically be an upgrade on Wellens which doesn't bode well for Richie's first team chances.
People are talking about his age but we only need him to help us get promoted - then we can look at Prem quality players. Sign him on a two year deal, if we get promoted next season, use him as a squad player or send him out on loan the season after.
