Lets just hope then shall we that both NB and AP haven't left the Club because they had the temerity to mention team strengthening for next season..

can i remind everyone of the last regime to run it strictly along business lines - Don Robinson, et al. Ask Chris Chilton, Colin Appleton and even Gareth Roberts, Steve McClaren and most who worked for him (including me I have to add) what it was like. It was cheap labour throughout and low low wages as well from top to bottom. However, the team were successful and didnt do too bad out of back handers and (published!) attendance based wages. ALLEGEDLY. Maybe that is the business model that Mr Allam seeks?

Where do you want the club to magic this money up to strengthen the squad?

We already had this year's losses of 7m covered, and any future losses which is clearly going to happen for another year. Then we have the new FPP guidelines.

Oh I doubt Barmby is going to be here, but I'm not up for lynching the Allams when we're only assuming that his comments to the media were perfectly reasonable and not contrary to a situation he was already aware of. He might have been told one amount when he took the job, then decided he wanted twice that, and when the Allams said no he decided to put pressure on in public for them to increase it.

Sacking the manager, who was on a pittance of a wage anyway and most probably alienating many of your key players, who would bring in the funds you allude the allams are wanting, is an interesting way of starting off the procedure.

According to his biography, Chris Chilton and Colin Appleton were earning £100 per week during these 'glory years', which even then was a pittance! Most of that 'famous' squad were earning much less. And you wonder why Brian Marwood has forgotten where Hull is? It seems to me that after laying out so much coin, the Allams want to run their train set the same way. Hopefully with the same success on the field!

I was at the OSC end of year awards tonight and the players were there - Rosenior turned up first and walked past Burnsy and I on his way into the ground, Burnsy asked him about it and without even looking at anyone he said "It's an absolute ****ing joke if it's true." and carried on walking. The lad was fuming, the players obviously don't know anything more than we do. I imagine the players were going to Ask afterwards because they did disappear fairly quickly. It's a ****ing ridiculous situation and a disgrace that the players and management have been treat so poorly. I've reserved judgement on the Allam's for ages but this is just a complete mess.

The thing I really can't believe is that NB was promised money in January to take the job (he also gave up the last year, maybe more, of his playing career to take it), they let him down on the promise, he agreed to cover up for them making himself look silly with this "we don't need a striker" nonsense which he obviously never really believed and after all that they think they can sack him?!

What did he even say that's bad enough to get formally suspended? I haven't seen anything particularly dodgy at all.

I think what he was trying to do, and the players he wanted to bring in would have been great for us. We had a bad run but the one massive underlying problem was that we didn't spend in January, not NB's fault. If the biggest problem with NB is that his attempts to cover up for the Allams lies weren't quite convincing enough, he's obviously a decent manager.

We were asked not to question the players on anything about this. See the Rosenior comment above.

Burnsy is mentioning on Twitter than Billy Davies's name has "being bubbling for weeks". Phil Buckingham reckons that without AP we're in an awful lot of trouble and that it is one big backward step and it's a long way back.

I just don't think the Allams are considering such a strategy, I think they're just generally clueless. Such a plan back then would have no possible way of succeeding in todays world of zero loyalty and with other teams being run but sugar-daddy owners.

By getting players off our books like Oli McShane Ghilas - did I mention transfer fees?

I was of the understanding that we would be balancing the books next year albeit I am not aware of what wage budget that was based on.

If anyone knows how to balance the books AP does.. the Allams have quite simply come across to me anyway as complete clowns..

The effective sacking of Nicky Barmby and letting Adam Pearson go is possibly the most negative and backwards decisions made in English football in recent times.

I think we'll get on just fine without him. Sick to death of the Cult of Adam Pearson, the man's been taking the piss since he came back.

April 12th was when NB apparently committed his sin and the Allams wait until after the end of the playing season to act. If it was serious they should have dealt with it there and then.

At least then we could have had our say in the next game, this way there's very little chance for us to make ourselves heard.

Philosophically how the hell can a majority be a cult? If anything you're the cultist with this constant tirade of abuse aimed at a man who near enough bleeds black and amber. You're one man mission to bring down Adam Pearson on a message board of all places is becoming very tiring... Even more so in this climate.

You've every right to express your blah de blah de ****ing blah but to be honest I come on here for information and could do without your pathetic attempts, at every possible insignificant little opportunity, to create even more controversy and confusion than there already is.

It normally doesn't bother me because it's only a messageboard at the end of the day... But there's a time and a place isn't there?
