Typical this happens when I'm away for 3 days. Un-****ing-believable, I for one am immensely pissed off, what a pair of ****s, some ****ing 'gift' to the people this is turning out to be. Clearly they are not idiots, but today's events really does beg the question. When that pass renewal form comes through - they can go **** themselves. Anyone else?
Probably. The incident was on the 12 April, they waited until Nicky had done his essential work then it becomes an issue worthy of suspension.
I don't buy season tickets I just pay on the day, I won't stop going. At the end of the day I go to watch hull city not allam fc
I'm not driving 4 hours and spending a f'ing fortune every Saturday to financially support a bunch of tossers like our owners. 37 matches I went to this season, none next. Fish in, Dolan in.
lets not be stupid here. whether we're pissed off at the allams or not, we support hull city and we attend games to cheer on the players and be entertained. nothing good will come from a few hundred people protesting and refusing to buy their usual season ticket.
Theoretically yes. However I know when we had Lloyd in charge there were long time City fans who didn't go to games because they felt that rather than it supporting the club it was going through to Lloyd's back pocket. Similarly I've said in the past that if we signed a certain player I'd not be giving another penny to the club whilst they were here as I wasn't prepared to contribute to his wages, so I've no problem with people not renewing if there's a moral reasoning behind it. I do think though people should see what Barmby has or hasn't done, what's going on with the ownership, and who the manager is before they decide that this is something they're not going to renew over. It would be rather embarrassing to have a big moral objection to it, and then find out for example that Barmby had effectively been tapping players up, so the club had suspended him to distance us from any FA punishments and we'd found out because of a comment he made to the press, so had to suspend him whilst it was investigatedand that's why we couldn't comment further at the moment.
This. But will we find out? Probably not. I'll wait until everything calmed down and I know the facts, but I'm still totally gob smacked at what's happened today. I think the more disturbing thing is the rumour that the club is up for sale. This whole situation will make some players want to leave and the fans vote with their feet.
I am disgusted with the Allams 'no comment' stance. Disgusted with the treatment of NB, as did he really want the job in the first place? NP comments after he left start to make sense, whilst he's still a ****, he's maybe not a complete ****. In that instance he's relegated to semi-**** status from this point onwards.
We'll find out whether he's been suspended or not. If he has been there will be a leak of what's caused it. What if all it is is the Allams have told him there's no money for transfer fees, so he's got in a mood and handed in his notice? They could be either hoping he calms down and changes his mind, or making sure it's all done in writing before they go public about it.
Of course I'll be renewing my season pass, this is nothing. The only reason people have to like Barmby is that he's from Hull, he's shown little promise of being a decent manager. This doesn't even register as a blip on the travesty radar compared to Brown, and if I got a season pass after that then I don't think there's any circumstances in which I won't get one.
But the inside info already leaked points towards Barmby been pushed. Plus it still doesn't explain why the club is allegedly up for sale. The whole thing stinks.
Unfortunately, we could be taken over by an asset stripping Leeds fan and i think i would still turn up week in, week out to watch this club. If you feel you don't want to put money into their back pockets fair enough, don't buy a club shirt, or programme or something but turn up and sing your heart out, as those players on the pitch are their to get three points no matter who the owners are.
On the first bit, I think Barmby handing in his resignation was the 3rd different option I'd given as to what was going on. I'm just firing out different possibilities. The second bit would be that the club has been rescued so that phase is complete. Now with no possibility of acquiring the stadium from the council the potential to develop us into anything is non-existant. Without owning the stadium I don't see how we can fund any expansion without breaking FFP. If we owned the ground the cost would be split over 40 or 50 years and probably wouldn't even count as a cost. If we don't own it, but have to fund it through the club (as the SMC makes pretty much bugger all), then the whole cost will be spread over probably 2 years at most. (This is accounting cost, not handing over cash cost)
Absolute ****. I'm usually a moaning **** when it comes to City but Barmby has made a remarkable start in my opinion, and i'm not just spouting **** now he's been suspended/sacked. We've played some of the best football City have ever played, stated by numerous fans of all ages, and he built on the good work of Pearson despite having virtually no backing in January. We looked a shoe in until for the play-offs until March, and the ultimately disastrous run of 5 defeats on the bounce is something Barmby would have learn't from. It was a season of what if's and missed opportunities, with a half decent financial backing could have turned city into genuine promotion contenders.
