    I just read a fake story here: http://www.nufcblog.com/2011/04/01/...gn=Feed: nufcblog (The Newcastle United Blog) about a russian billionaire called Alexei Mordashov buying the club today.

    Considering today's date, it was obvious that such a story was fake. However, there was one element of truth in that article, that being that Alexei Mordashov is a Newcastle United supporter.

    And guess what. He's worth $18.5bn (£11.5bn). This got me thinking... If I had anywhere near that much money, I would definitely buy the club, even running at a loss.

    Anyway, your thoughts? Would you do the same as me? I have a feeling most of you will say yes.

    As much as I love NUFC I'd never buy it if I had the money.

    The pressure of being a fan but also the man at the helm would take the gloss away from simply being able to enjoy the roller coaster.

    If I had that kind of money to burn I'd buy the club and do a Chelski.

    Look at his Wikipedia page. He did his masters degree at Northumbria University and went to a lot of home games while he was there.

    I know, I checked him out and it mentioned that, sounds like he's done well for himself, shame its not true, mind u I didn't believe Shearer was coming back till after 12 a couple of years back.

    I would not buy the club outright, too much pressure involved and you can never please people so it would not be worth it, however i would consider a 49% share. I would not want to give u my season ticket either.
