Would you have Enrique back?

I would. He may have been a bit of a nob, saying what he said, but he's still a decent bloke and is respected within the squad, and is really a top quality fullback.

It's a shame he left, imagine this -

I'd definitely have him back for around about the same price we payed and on the wage cap. Consistent, quality and rarely got injured.

I wouldn't have Andy back. He's not ****, he's good when on form, but he wouldn't fit into our style of play at all. Our pace and flowing football would be too much for him.

He'd only be good if we went back to our old style of a target man and Ba.

 

Ability wise definitely, would slot back in straight away at LB.

Not sure about Santon personally though, I would definitely have him in ahead of Simpson who is the biggest weak link but still dont think hes too great defensively, hopefully that will come with time though.

Resounding yes and something I've been tongue in cheek calling for. We need a left back, he's the best around. He left to win things and european football. He has won 1 trophy (maybe 2) and we can give him Europe next year. Come home Jose, all is forgiven.

 

no thanks, he didnt like what he saw at our club and did one. he disrupted the pre season before he left and was very calculating along with his agent. even big nose thompson had it nailed on.

Indeed. He took what was a safer option at the time. Its easy in hindsight to be critical of him given how things have turned out here and at Liverpool. I'm sure if he knew that he would have stayed. Gave us great service and will forever be remembered fondly by the majority of supporters because he stuck with us at a low ebb. Also bar his frustrated twitter comment, behaved impecably and was very professional. You can't really criticise him with any great conviction about the way he waited like he did. That's just football.

Would love him back, the club needs professionals like that.
