He is a pub player in a sprinters body, he is also probably the least intelligent footballer ive ever seen, how can anyone always make the wrong choice? Watch how often he cuts inside and every time he does a 360 and loses the ball or shoots with 2 players blocking the route to goal. He never goes to the byline. Just think how he will be when he loses his pace. Hes only going to get worse.
The guy has plenty of talent but clearly needs support and encouragement at this stage. He's going though a phase and will pull out of it. I'm not surprised he walked straight down the tunnel after all the abuse he's been getting from his own set of supporters. Too many of you QPR supporters do not understand the meaning of the word support and/or encouragement ! Just look at what Torres has been through over the last year or so yet many of the Chelsea supporters remained faithful and supportive to him, and perhaps now is turning the corner for the best. Two games to go, we need to be as supportive as possible, irrespective. So ffs, lets pull together and try help the lads over the line with POSITIVE support. Just believe.....Come on U rrrrrrrsss !
He's one of those players that ex-pro's and pundits rave about and talk up his abilities. Warnock famously said when he signed him that he would score a hatful. In reality he over promises and under delivers. My take on it is that he was a prodigious talent, then hit the big time, now has no financial worries and is cruising. He can't be arsed basically. Frankly he should just retire and save clubs a load of money and fans the aggro. Wayne Bridge...he's in the same CBA club I would take Hogan who's still keen than SWP who isn't
SWP has been a disappointment but he doesnt lack fior effort and lets face it he has barely played in recent weeks. Also NO QPR player deserves abuse. We are supporters are we not? You may want to look up the definition.
Frome the example I gave from Sundys game shows that as well s being rubbish he is now also not working hard enough and doesn't care. Football crowds like ours is effective because we display passion. We did that with Barton against Liverpool and it got a good response. I support QPR i don't support waste of space mercenaries like SWP. Barton wasn't doing enough a couple of months ago. I gave him stick at games. Now he's pulling his finger out and I'm happy to support him. SWP hasn't earned any respect so I wont give him any. If a player isn't doing well enough a manager will tell him. Fans are the same
I was excited when he signed but he has been disappointing. I thought he worked hard early in the season when he was getting regular game time but there was limited end product. Like one or two others here, I think it's possibly a confidence thing. I haven't given up on him and, as a supporter, I'm always going to cheer him on.
He certainly dosen't have the right stuff, but the management team that scouted and brought him in should share also some of the blame here, plus the managers that have continued to select him in the starting line up.
I have to concede it has given Joey the kick in the ass he needed although I'm still not comfortable with dishing out abuse to your own players. I dont see SWP as a mercenary and didnt witness what you did on Sunday but I do have to say that he really doesnt look good enough anymore, which is a shame.
When have we abused SWP vocally?? We actually sing his name every time he plays to try and encourage him Safe to say it doesn't ****ing work
I hate to say I told you so but I told you so. Always felt he was vastly over-rated. Must admit I didn't think that he would be soooooo bad for us. The sooner we can offload him the better, he makes my blood boil.
