i cannot imagine the councl allowing the merger you mean it would then free up the kc for allam to buy? he could use the lever to leave it empty and move city somewhere as well in order to buy it

KR merge with FC, play games at Craven.. it's common knowledge the rugby messes up the KC pitch which severely undermines our ambition to play Barca-esque footie.. Papa Allam has got AP inside at FC, he buys a "cheap" KR for £4m but then he hits the buffers cos Councellor Gerraghty won't let them purchase the stadium anyway even with FC's lease cancelled.. intruiging to follow this.. but come on a combined Hull RL team ain't gonna happen, you're destroying a great rivalry.. and the fans won't follow
i thought the google had broke when i clicked the link ... it took me back to a time when messageboards showed only text As for the merger , i expect the super league powers would love to merge the two clubs but theres just no way the fans will let it happen unless both clubs are in the **** so deep they cant be saved any other way. Allam is also keen on buying the Icehockey club - this is also to strengthen his hand against the council . The Ice Hockey club is for sale as the Coventry owners have said as much . Though the ice hockey club is loose change to mr Allam
As both clubs are private companies the council can do absolutly **** all to prevent the merger of the two clubs. The fans might have something to say about it though. Mind you fan power doesn't seem to have much of a say does it.
