    Chaps,

Don't know if you have heard or not but Chambers has been given the green light to compete in London 2012 a court ruling.

It will be a hot topic in the coming days so where do you stand on this?

For those of you who don't want to actively post... I'll create a poll to get a feel for our view.

My personal view is that I'm for his inclusion as everyone deserves a second chance.
He came clean and is now actively campaigning against drug use and for this I applaud him.

Rio Ferdinand can now play in the Olympics if he isn't chosen for the Euro squad. Seen that on Twitter, didn't think that he would've been ineligible because of that.

I'm against the use of drugs in sport, cheating is cheating at the end of the day, but the problem is, many sports allow you to return after a ban.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of many sports the give a life ban, Athletics definitely, but then again, many countries allow disgraced athletes to compete after a ban, the UK does not.

Over the last few years quite a few cyclists have been caught and disgraced, The Tour de France has almost been ruined on more than one occasion, one competitor (can't remember who) did point out, a lot of the cyclists who had been caught were older, coming to the end of their careers, so had less to lose, showing little regard for the integrity of their sport.

Against - yes everyone deserves a second chance, but those competitors that he has cheated out of medals or even a place in the starting line up don't get one so neither should he.

Even if he is cleared shouldn't mean he has to be picked for the Olympics.

He should be allowed to only appear in any other athletics events and NOT the Olympics that can be his second chance. Would he have come clean had he not been caught and still winning the medals, I doubt it.

Personally I think this is a disgrace. How we are not allowed to dictate our own selection policy is beyond a joke. The **** should not be allowed to run, and neither should any other cheats. I understand people wishing people be given a second chance, but not for me. You know the risk when you take that chance. You have to be man enough to accept the judgement. It'll tarnish the games if we are forced to pick these scumballs. The fact that a large percentage of the current athletes are against it strengthens the case massively for me. They are the main ones who were cheated. Thousands upon thousands of hours training to be the best, and some **** just shortcuts it, must be infuriating.

Life bans are the only palatable solution where drug cheats are concerned for me.

He shouldn't be allowed to compete.
The message they are sending out by letting Chambers compete is it's ok to cheat you can have a second chance.

no way he should be allowed to compete. If he does, he's taking a place away from someone who's stuck to the rules.

Far better to give somebody else a chance and keep the sport clean, a cheats a cheat and can't be trusted. He's probably got somebody behind him that can get around the testing somehow.
