Based on talent I'd say that's exactly where we should go out.

He's the only one they've approached so far...

They wouldn't approach a manager in the same day as a match, hence no approach for 'arry. Expect an approach soon.

    Edit: spelling

Would of preferred Redknapp but Hodgson is a good choice.

Hodgson - I like the guy but not for me. Is Harry to the present FA incumbents what Cloughie was 30 years ago?

   <doh>

'Approached' means 'offered the job' in this instance. They'll only 'approach' Harry if it goes Baggie-shaped with Woy.

Hmm, I don't mind Hodgson, I think he's a decent manager. Certainly didn't deserve the **** he got off the Scouse Mafia in the media at Liverpool.

I'd just like to see a manager that would get us playing the only way we really know how - attack.

Hodgson is known to be a bit, well, negative.

I just think the English mentality is that adopted by Venables in '96, and Hoddle in '98. We need to get it down the flanks and go for it, we don't really work any other way. For this reason, I'd prefer Redknapp.

If he fails to impress at the Euro's it's hardly his fault.

He's got what? About six weeks to sort a team he's never worked with before!!

With the decidedly average players( at this level) at his disposal it's mission impossible.

I always get excited about major tournaments and they are nearly always complete dog ****.
I book time off work, including the semi's and the final and it's always for nowt .

This summer I really couldn't give a flying **** and I'm not booking any time off work.

You watch, we'll go and win it.

You can't seriously compare the two.

Its extra football so i have to admit that i do enjoy the Euro's as it extends the season. However i do not necessarily place expectations on us to do anything on it, and i hardly doubt that you can blame whoever the next manager is Harry or Roy, i think they would both do very similar jobs for the Euro's.

Spot on - this appointment is a long-term matter, not a Euro 2012 thing. Let's face it, with the paucity of talent aged over 23 and under 30 (just Hart and Rooney), we've no chance this summer.

Liverpool played some of the most dire and one dimensional football ever under Woy.

He can shape a workman like team, but he has no idea how to play attractive football.

We are crying out for someone who can change our hoofball mentality. PLEASE no.
