I awoke yesterday morning to see Pardew boasting in the paper about his team, they have done this and done that and frightened of nobody. He just set himself up for a fall similat to what the obese geordie idiot used to do at Sunderland. Genuine question . Were any mags expecting it and cringing reading yesterday's papers?

Difference is though, Pards was doing it after a run of 6 wins. Bruce was doing it whenever

Aye suppose that is true Spider. However, the point of the post was really to say it's best to say nothing before a game because it tempts fate. EG Pardew yesterday and Bruce's song.

The point of the post was boasting before an event is not wise. Yes I have to concur he hasn't got it wrong often maybe those 3 and against us in the 1st half but visit to the refs office sorted that out for ya's.

True, but every manager boasts a bit and more often than not it comes back to bite them on the arse. It'd only become a big problem if he did it before every game.

ah yes, the imaginary visit to the refs

Yes. That's why Cattermole got sent off. Nothing to do with the fact he's an utter bellend.

The ref shouls have sent off that two footed studs up challenge on Cabaye yet people criticise if players make the most of blatent red car offences.

I think it was more the questions were put to him rather than him coming out and saying it, though I do agree it would have been best to play it down.

It's like the media turned on us the season we went down which didn't help and had a lot of opposition supporters hating us, the media this time have hyped up our chances of CL football. We all know it is mathematically possible but until it is confirmed refuse to shout about, the press doing the usual set us up to knock us down.

I've said for a while the Wigan and Everton matches are the hardest games of our run in, I still believe that Chelski's fixtures and injuries will catch up with them and their luck will run out (they have had a fair bit in the last few games). Citeh were on a strange run up until a couple of games ago so who know.

    1. Pardew boasted we would get into Europe.
    2. Cattermole is a waste of a good pair of underpants.
    3. See no 1.
