Chelsea have agreed to sign Marko Marin from Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee. I'm sure this is a big deal for Chelsea, and I am sure they have won a race to sign him. The fact that Chelsea have moved for this so early proves that we to have to move fast to sign our top targets. We are rumoured to be close to signing Gaston Ramirez, and rumours of Moussa Sissoko are going around to. We can not be laid back this summer. We must get in there first. I can see us, Spurs and Chelsea targetting a few of the same players this season (assuming we are the three with out Champions League). http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17880807 This also shows top players can be signed with out guaranteed Champions League and questionable stability.
Well the CL final, FAC final and their high profile in recent years would be enough to keep them on the radar of players and agents. I expect us to do most of our dealings on the qt so we might not know what's happening until it's happened.
Shame we missed out on Marin, quality player in the making. Mata/Marin/Meireles is a dangerous trio to sit behind a lone striker (probably Torres if he picks up his form) so Chelsea are certainly looking strong next year - hopefully we can get the right players to compete.
got to move for players such as sissoko before the euros, depending on their performances their prices could soar
