Sunderlandâs Titus Bramble set for surprise return SURPRISE RETURN ... Sunderland's Titus Bramble. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport...tus-bramble-set-for-surprise-return-1-4490715 By GRAEME ANDERSON Published on Friday 27 April 2012 09:46 TITUS Bramble is in line for a surprise return to first-team action before the end of the season. The central defender is back in full training after a series of setbacks on the comeback trail, and is expected to return to first-team availability, possibly as early as tomorrowâs game against Bolton Wanderers. Martin OâNeill will not push the 31-year-old too fast, too soon, and itâs unlikely Bramble will be in tomorrowâs squad â especially with John OâShea now returned to full fitness. But if the former Wigan and Newcastle man continues to progress he has a realistic chance of involvement in either of the last two games of the season, against Fulham and Manchester United. And OâNeill is keen to see more of a player who impressed him in the handful of games he played for the new boss in December before an Achilles injury ruled him out. The Sunderland manager revealed: âTitus was back running the previous week, and this week he has been back in full training, which is great. âWe had expected to have him back so much sooner than this. Sunderland must deal with great expectations, says Martin OâNeill âIf you had told me back in December that I wouldnât have him back to call on until almost the end of April, Iâd have been tearing my hair out â he was looking an important player for us. âYouâve got to treat Achilles injuries with respect, and we did that, but he kept having setbacks that appear to be behind him now. âHeâs certainly got a chance of being involved in a squad again now by the end of the season. âThatâs just how it is with these type of injuries, you can never quite tell how long they will take for you to recover âBut the good news is that he is back now in training with the rest of the lads, and we will hopefully be able to see a bit more of him.â Ched Evans just got five, for rape, so how does this work for our club, as I said " am I missing something here"
here you go, not quite rape, but tbh dont thin many know how bad it actually was, but a few years back 2 of my mates had a bet on who could smack/nip/touch the most lasses arses down Newcastle, the score was 50-48 and not 1 lass took offence, so maybe its a bit worse than that, but not as bad as full on rape so they expect him to get away with it, or they cant stop him playing because of it.
Nee rape charge brought Bill & more importantly, nee guilty verdict of sexual assault either mate. Edit; nee guilty verdict yet.
Then again, these could just have been two slappers leading him on, looking for a big payout...innocent until proven guilty is the mantra, I believe
i'd love to agree with you, but how many times has this happened now?? we are better off without, i don't want someone repeatedly accused of rape associated with my club. if he had any sense he'd stay in and behave himself after the last time.
More fool him then, why should he need this sort of woman anywhere near him. Ffs its not as though well paid footballers have a problem pulling decent birds.
I believe everyone is innocent until proven guilty but as Billy says, this is not the first, or even the second, time he has got himself into totally avoidable trouble. BiB - Unfortunately he has repeatedly shown that he has no sense at all. Obviously when he is full of drink he thinks that girls should just be grateful for being allowed to be in his presence. Anyway wasn't Marlon King locked up for similar behaviour? Titus thinks with only one part of his anatomy and we should get rid as soon as possible, even if he does not get jailed.
king did time because he broke a girl's nose after she told him to **** off when he introduced himself as "marlon king, footballer", and should never have been given another opportunity again in football, the scumbag. all i know of bramble is these things keep happening to him, and i don't want a player like that on the books of my club.
Second time in a year, remember his brother got sent down, for seven years was it? and he was present. Makes you wonder. So because of this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,get rid.
Keep him, he can be our secret weapon... Just make him towel boy, before the game, when the other team is changing, big old Titus can take them in fresh towel, dressed himself in only a hand towel drapped around his mid-riff, a wink and a smile will be enough to put most of them off their game.
As has been said here, its not like this is the first time he has been involved in something tasteless, even as a Sunderland player and he also has previous with the craas and Ipswich before that. It's not a year since his brother was jailed for 4 years for rape and don't forget, he was present that night as well but acquitted again. If I had been falsely accused and acquitted of something like this once, I can guarantee you that I wouldn't put myself in a situation to be caught out again. Its called having the brains to be careful. Titus either lacks the brains or the inclination to remove himself from such events and thus, I'd sell him quicker than a mag becomes deluded. He is a very bad apple IMO.
