Firstly Congrats guys on your promotion I hope you'll be playing us again very soon (Premier League). If we get promoted tomorrow and do a "Norwich" what do you think your chances will be of doing a "Southampton" the following year in the Championship? It's quite obvious to see you get a momentum from winning games and gaining promotion how do you think you'll fair?
I think the first thing is to consolidate ourselves in the Championship. We really don't have any idea on what budget CP might have so it's pretty hard to discuss any chances we may have. I'd be very happy with a safe mid table finish, ecstatic with play offs, and honestly can't see a top 2
We didn't spend a lot of money going back into the Championship and look what happened with us! I think you'll be right up there!
I'd love for you to be right, but really think what you and Norwich have done is no easy feat and won't be replicated again (especially two teams in a row), for a while. We've been linked with Puncheon from you.. I know it hasn't worked for him there, but he showed with Blackpool what he can do, and think he would be a good addition. He and another 4 odd players and I'd be happy.
Puncheon will be a quality addition especially to start with and if you can keep him happy will be a great addition.
For the first season I would be happy with avoiding relegation mate, As long as you can do that you can start trying to build and progress
The common thread between Norwich and Soton is that they both have very good young managers ....... and we have Chris Powell Ahh....so did Brighton... .... dam..... well I had a seed of a good idea there and then......
Why cant we go up again? Weve got a good young team with alot of promise and a great young manager A board that will spend to help us achieve our goals but at the same time wont run us into the ground with debt. A few more additions and we can do it , we've already got the more than what norwich finished on a couple of years ago.
