http://www.football-rumours.co.uk/sunderland-rumours.php (btw there are a few stoke fans that need to come back down to earth on this website) So far from this website I can see that we're supposedly after: Gylfi Siggurdsson - £3 mil Romelu Lukaku - Loan Kevin De Bruyne - Loan Aidan Mcgeady - ?? Peter Crouch - ?? (bearing in mind the same poster of that one also said, walters to newcastle...) Steven Fletcher - £3.5 mil Karl Henry - £1.5 mil Hoilett - ?? Yakubu - ?? Jansen - ?? Armand - ?? Kenwyne Jones - ? (apparently O'neill liked him whilst at Villa...) Fabio - Loan Also apparently Gabby Agbonlahor has said he will not be leaving Villa, regardless of situation What I found of the Ins.... The outs the stood out the most was Sess to PSG for £23 mil.... But what would people be happy with if these rumours were to be true ? Personally be happy with the first 4 and fabio, possibly hoilett/yakubu too
That site has to be the biggest load of crap on the internet, populated by daft bairns publishing their wish lists..i often go on for a laugh after feeling a wee bit down
I'd sell Sess for £23million mind! We could actually broker a good deal with PSG, Tiene + £20million, then spend £12million on Valbuena, leaving a healthy £8million in the coffers to sign Fabio Quaggliarella from Juventus! Obviously, this is cloud cuckoo land stuff, like most of the cod-**** on that website!
Crap. Shows my age when I havnt got a clue who those players are!! ha ha I used to know every player at world cups until about 1998. BTW I would sign anyone from Bilbao having watched them last night. Class.
I agree mate, been coming for a few years Bilbao, they have a really tight unit, every man comfortable on the ball, and a bit of grit due to the Basque heritage. They sacrificed La Liga for the Europa League, so I hope they beat Atletico in the final. 4th was wide open this year, and with focus, Bilbao could have had CL football at the new stadium. I fear the team will get obliterated in the summer.
Did you know that Bilbao were founded by people from Sunderland, that's why they wear the red and white stripes, I wonder why we don't have a stronger relationship with them, pre-seaon friendlies etc,,,,.might suggest that to Ellis next time I see him in Sinatra's.
This is only partially true mate, they were indeed formed by lads from Sunderland, Southampton & Scotland. They were presented with a set of SOUTHAMPTON kits, hence the Red & White. Soz to pop the bubble like. Still, agree we should have some kind of tie in with them, as Mackems were instrumental in the clubs foundation.
Box seat for CL mate, i've got tickets for the last home game vs Gijon, which will hopefully clinch 3rd, and avoid a potentially tricky qualifier! Valencia home on Sunday, a win would put Malaga level on points going into the last 3 games, but we've had a wobble, 3 without a win, at the worst possible time! Frankly, god-awful run in, Valencia home is followed by Barca & Atletico Madrid away (ouch), then Gijon home. A win on Sunday is vital.
Is this the team with Rudd van Nist..............in it? or am i getting mixed up, as i kinda watch it, but take no notice.
It is indeed! The star is Santi Cazorla, he is absolutely superb, not only as a player, but the lad turns up at one of the local schools and does coaching with the kids, unpaid, under no instruction from the club, just a good man. Will need a top striker to really push on, champions League would have made it easier, but the last 3 games could be a killer. The money is there (more than Man City), and the players will fancy living in a fantastic part of the world, but without CL football, it's hard to get real top end players. Cazorla was a stunning coup, players like Toulalan & Van Nistelrooy were a jump in class, but not to the top level. Still light years behind Barca & Madrid, but closing on Valencia, and importantly, ahead of Sevilla, after years lagging behind!
