I'd like to hear a few thousand fireworks being launched in celebration immediately after the game is finished on Saturday. If my nerves fail after a poor start I might just bury my head until it's all over, hopefully to be revived with a hail of explosions.
Reading are doing it because they're a tinpot club. We should only do it if we win the FA Cup/Europa League/A notable competition in the future.
Well, with the local cut back in bus services there will be plenty of spare ones if you want cut the roof off!
Bet there was a provisional booking in case we took the title...that was still possible until the Boro game, but we didn't celebrate 2nd last year so doubt we will do it this year. It makes you look a bit tinpot, doeasn't it? We'll save it for the FA and League Cups and PL title next year
Promotion to the Prem just a small stepping stone in the world domination plan then Man City had better watch out!
Of course promotion would be a great, great achievement. But from the position we were in, we have monumentally cocked up. We should have sealed the title weeks ago, we didn't.
Lots of polarised opinion here. My take is, coming second and getting promoted would be remarkable success immediately after getting promoted from league one, and I am not interested in whether the start, middle or end of the season was the best part. Would some of you feel much happier about our season if we had an identical points tally, but had an OK start and zoomed up to second spot in the last few games? It doesn't matter to me, it's still a great achievement, should we do it. Open top bus? Not for me thanks. The main cause for celebration is that we are in the Premiership and if we had never been there in our 126 year history, then we would have all the bunting out. The fact is we only dropped out of the top flight 7 years ago so it would leave me feeling that we need a better excuse than just getting back to where we were. If we had won the League? Not even sure about that really.
Our piss up back in the Baker street area after beating the swindlers was a great night and we all had a few Happy days
...a "tinpot club" who took 4 points off us and therefore finished above us in the league? And we wonder why some people call us arrogant?
