Not many can match a massive 79 posts in a year.

79 points from Spurs would have been better and PNP knocks up 79 posts in an afternoon. <laugh>

One thing springs to mind, which is (sort of) on topic: After this weekend, several players we loaned to Championship clubs will be returning to WHL (with the exception of Andros Townsend, as Brum will be in the play-offs unless Middlesbrough make up three points and impriving their goal difference by 23...), so the question should be if any of them could/wouldshould/ feature for us in the last three games.

An opportunity for Harry Kane, perchance?

    Interesting suggestion, Croydon.
I like Kane, but he's more of a Sheringham-type than a lead the line striker, for me.
Might do a job as a sub for van der Vaart though, especially as he's scoring fairly regularly for Millwall.

Re the original posting, Benny is no great loss the way he's been playing recently. Kaboul is a major loss, IMO. He has all the makings of a top class centre back.

Sometimes I think Benny is an easy target for Spurs fans, but having said that, he's been way off for weeks. In fact in the first 20 minutes or so at QPR, he looked almost a non-league player. Kaboul is by far the more worrying loss.

Nice to see a few old faces on here. Must say I haven't posted at all! I must say BAE has been poor lately. I really hope we play Bale at left back against Blackburn. I have always sai and can remember arguing the point till I was blue in the face on the old 606 that I thought he can be an even better LB than Left winger. I think coming from deep, on the over lap will make him even harder to defend against. Teams wont be able to double up on him so easily. FOr those people who jump in and say he cant defend - well Bale got his first real run in the team when Benoit had an op during the ACON. During that periood we he played 12 or so games if I remember and we only shipped 8 goals.

First post on my thread! <cheers>

Better news on YK if true, not Harry's style normally though, "doubtful" being a favourite injury update, before the player miraculously appears on the teamsheet.

Nice to see another old face from 606 on here.

I think that Rose will almost certainly start at left-back, but I hope that it provokes Redknapp into pushing Bale back out onto the left wing, to give him additional cover.
    It'd strengthen us dramatically.

I repeat: If Livermore starts at left back, we riot.

I have been slacking I must say. Good to be back though and will try to get on here as much as I can. I won't ask about our continued problems at the moment! its certainly gone all wrong hasn't it. Its great news that kaboul might be back in the frame for Sunday. By crikey has he become one we have relied on more than any. With Dawson being out for such long periods this season, Ledley and William's legs gone that position really has been a nemesis this season. What would you like to see happen in regard to the LB position this weekend guys? Would you play Rose? i really would like to see Bale play there but we will see. I keep thinking we must be due a win and law of averages says it must happen soon but we know this game all too well to know it doesn't give you anything. Lets see what Sunday brings!

BAE out is giving him a problem, putting Bale there means MF alteration aswell, whereas Rose causes no MF disruption at all and has already played well with Bale in front of him. I'd prefer the latter, so I think I know whats coming.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kaboul plays at right back and Walker at left back this weekend thats the kind of theme from harrys game !

  19. Maybe those of you so quick to criticise / write off Benny might like to reconsider, bearing in mind that he has been carrying two significant injuries for the last few games - including apparently a dislocated shoulder!!

BAE might not be everyone's cup of tea - that's opinion on which this type of Forum thrives - but some of the recent criticism is unjust and maybe it would be more appropriate to question the squad management that required one player to HAVE to play on when clearly he should have been rested.
