MILLYMONKIN 12-1 4.20 Beverley looks to have all the hallmarks of a horse that has been laid out for a handicap. Even dropped back to an inadequate 6 furlongs for its seasonal debut. Now leniently handicapped I expect we will see a big improvement tomorrow. Already been nibbled from an opening 16-1.
3.45 Beverly: Lady Macduff 7/2- Johnston has two interesting horses in the race and I was taken by this ones performance at Kempton when seemingly unfancied at 9/2 in comparison to the usual AW Johnston shorties in maidens. I think that means the yard underestimated the horse slightly and quite often those sorts of horses tend to be the ones that continue to improve. I see De Sousa as the positive booking here up against Fanning, who I suspect will go from the front with De Sousa tracking the pace. 4.20 Beverly: Fisher 8/1- Having just read Sticks write up and seeing the money it seems fair to say Easterby has a slight plot going on, therefore this selection ought to be cautious. I want to put it up though as this will eventually be a horse that wins handicaps for Dandy Nicholls, the question is when? He will improve up the handicap 15lb I reckon this summer eventually. Whether it starts today I'm not sure. Notebook it and maybe it can be a little e/w saver. I think this horse will end up being a good acquisition for Dandy Nicholls and off a mark of 62 I can definitely see this one playing a hand. Shaped with ability for Richard Hannon and was nicely bred, and always looked the type for handicaps. The 2lb drop by the handicapper is nice and if he improves for the run last time out, looks an each way play.
Hi guys, flom a rain sodden Uttoxeter. Hotel is ****...its still pissin down,.... meeting abandonded but funny old game MI reegalo > 7.55 Brighton
Nothing for me today, the only remotely interesting thing today is that Starters Orders 5 is due to be released today. That is how bad today looks for me!
Punchestown is on remarkably. Much like yesterday it is a hurdles/bumper card, plus the La Touche Cup over the banks.
4.55 start at Punchestown, a five race card with the two chases over regulation fences abandoned. Come on NASS...you know you have a fancy in the hurdle...a little EW?????
No interest at all stick, just looked at the race and if it was on racing ground it would be an interesting heat.
I don't think they would either. It's supposed to have rained overnight, and it's raining now so God only knows what the ground will be like.
Mikael D'Haguenet must still show them quite a lot at home for Paul Townend to choose him over Mourad. Both are running for prize money and i don't know what their arrangements are around that but i'd be more confident of Mourad snatching third than MDH.
A man is in a queue at Tesco and sees this busty blonde staring at him, he can't believe she is staring at him, then she starts waving. 'Excuse me do I know you?' he asks. 'Yes: I think you are the father of one of my kids' she says. The man thinks back and remembers his one act of infidelity and says 'Are you the bird I shagged on my stag night, whilst your mate whipped me and your other mate stuck a brush up my arse?' 'No' she replies 'I'm your son's English teacher!'
Not looking good for BEVERLEY today. Second inspection planned now at 11.00 and it's persistently raining!
I've heard rumours a bloke called Noah living in Doncaster is building an ark ................................. Just getting tuned up for a long bank holiday weekend here in Berlin with forecast 26°C and lots of sunshine
ODDY---please stop this antagonistic behavior top us lot in the wetlands.26 degrees and sun.!!!!!!!----even hitler didnt provoke us that much towards war!! personally--no way should they be racing at punchy today after watching yesterday, its got to be worse today what with more rain and yesterdays soaked in,making it more -sticky-now.
Morning Fellows I'm off to the free meeting at Brighton this afternoon / evening. Blustery day, soft ground ... hmm. Anyone got any interesting (or indeed boring) thoughts on the runners? Ta.
I've earned the right - grew up in Sheffield and studied in Manchester, the rain capital of the northern hemisphere. Is your mother well?
