I think the reason we did not sign anyone in Jan was because Nick looked at the squad and genuinely thought that what we had was good enough to give promotion a shout, So by not spending then he saved the available cash to spend on top of the summer budget with what will be a squad with a lower salary (getting rid of Ghilas, Basso, olifinjana and Brady) Therefore I'm hoping for a more active summer in the transfer market? Anybody think I may be right?
I would suggest that Nick already knows who he wants and is just waiting for the green light from the Allams. I dont understand this desperate need to know or worry at this moment in time. Nick has said that he wants his business sorted as quickly as possible and that will do for me.
Not true, if money had been made available we would have signed at least 2 more players what money? If funds are made available then we should see a few free transfer players coming in. We will NOT be spending big money on players this summer because that sort of money isn't available and there a plenty of good players available who we wouldn't have to pay a fee for. Hopefully the targets we want will be backed up with a couple of season long loans and that will pretty much be it.
I fell really let down by the Allams. I'm eternally greatful that they saved our club that they have already put so much (necessary) money in, but I'll be massively disappointed if they don't make even a small amount of money available. Ungrateful I know.
Thanks Premiertiger so at least that's straight Although unlike N I can understand why there is a lack of funds.
Will money from any player sales be re invested in the squad? Was the alleged bid £600k bid for Hammill bullshit then?

I have to agree with that last comment. The Allams have set themselves up with that 'millions' comment and that's why some fans have their backs up.
