    Anyone else watched these?

I read some of the books and loved them, so I bought the box set and the movies are immense.

Anyone who likes a bit of history during the Napoleon era, you'll love this.

I think the final score will be England 3 France 2

Cabaye & Ben Arfa will put France in front, but we'll push them back in the second half and Sharpe will score a hat-trick before being signed by Newcastle.

I've got all the old ones, haven't seen the ones made recently though like Sharpe's peril and Challenge.

Used to watch it on TV all the time, absolute class programme. Sean Bean is the man.

Out of all the old episodes the one where he goes back to England is probably my least favourite, think it's Sharpe's justice, can't remember.

When I was a young boy getting into trouble at school me and my dad used to watch it.

I remember Sean Bean him saying BASTARDS all the time and it being rather good TV.

:laugh:the amount of effort he use to put into saying the word BASTARDS also was brilliant!

Sean Bean's entire family work at my chippy! He's always in there and I can tell you he's a class guy. Down to earth and funny too

Hadn't heard of Sean Bean until that series but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thought we'd have heard a lot more of him than we have but I guess that series made him enough never to have to work again.

Thought he was only in the first one tbh, could be wrong though.

How busy does he need to be AB? Barring the occasional SyFy channel-esque B-movie he must be making a fortune in Hollywood, which is more than can be said for most ITV drama stars, especially ones who play a man from Sheffield in every film regardless of where you're actually supposed to be from...

Read it first when i was really young and a few times since, his character Boromir does die in the first book, and film, there may be flashbacks in the second or third films though.

i like sean bean, blades fan isnt he? havent watched much of the series but my old man loves it. read a few of the books though and enjoyed them. the relationship between him and the big irish lad is great, good camaraderie. Recently saw sean bean in a british horror/drama called Black Death and it was a good film. really grimy with a nice atmosphere.

Fantastic series, although it seems theres only ever 1 episode of it on (the one where they are tricked into taking a fort behind enemy lines, then use lime to defend it). Its always on!
