I love it when I read this - Steve Bruce may have spent a lot of money when you add up everything he did spend, but he also retained all and more of the same money - it wasn't like he sold us down the river for a song was it!!

And, IMO, the Express is second only to the Daily mail for printing ****E!

I agree and surely the wage bill is getting under control, what deadwood do we have left running down big contracts? Must be a bit in the coffers

Well in answer to the above lets take a look, and trust me some of this may shock yer

George McCartney weekly wage as per his current SAFC contract - £55 grand a week (oh yes your eyes arnt playing tricks on you !!) this salary has been much discussed on these forums. Mr Keane was very intrumental in offering him a fookin ludicrous contract. Must admit though at present I dont know what % of this the Hammers are paying him.
Gordon on approx on £25 grand a week
    Angelari £18 grand a week
Riveros £20 grand a week again dont know what % Kayserispor are paying him.
Titus apparantly on £25 grand a week.

Folks dont ask me where I got these figures from because I wont tell yer but trust me I know !!!!

So in answer to your point mate yes there is still a considerable amount of dead wood at the club on daft wages !!!

One of my ITK mates, reckons the deadwood and some of the not so deadwood players have to be shifted before any large amounts for transfers is forthcoming.

A certain Mr Gyan was on £55 grand a week under the provisions of his SAFC Contract before he fooked off to play before one man and his dog !! Iam not so sure we have a wage cap as such we just dont pay crazy wages.

Quite like Henry, he works hard, full of commitment, but first and formost we need goal scorers, and rid of Bendtner,
