UEFA will make sure the dates don't clash, and that is the end of that!

Would be funny If it happened and they got beat, no ones mentioned that scenario. Definitely a slap in the face. Elswick tramps.

Darlington's ground is only allowed to hold about 10,000 or so due to the surrounding infrastructure..I would imagine that the police would probably object to the Mags playing this game, as there would be guaranteed trouble all over the place..
Sunderland fans, and the people of Sunderland in general, would object to the thought of some of the most obnoxious fans in football coming to the city.
The one sensible solution would be to switch the Olympic football game to the SoL.

    That would be hilarious <laugh>

Can't see it happening though due to safety reasons although it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for any Sunderland supporter to witness European football at the SoL.

Should we just let them have the Olympics lads? I'm not really that bothered and it would be like a little adventure for them.

I like this thread, dont believe for one moment it will happen, but theres always Blyth Spartans ground. Carlisle could also be an option.

I wouldn't dream of going to an Olympic event there, as it would mean that the Skunks would benefit financially from it..

    FFS!

If this ever happened I would be getting my Docs out of the back of the cupboard and giving them a good polish!

It would be insanity of the highest order, to allow the unwashed into our fair City in such numbers.
Can only be a disinfectant manufacturer thought this one up.
Plus we would have to burn the seats after having their smelly fat bloated bodies on them.

The last thing we need is our stadium being completely wrecked by 1000's of inept mag's.

This story wasn't doing the rounds on the 1st by any chance.

Would never happen in a million year's as mentioned they will wreck the place!

On the Ready to Go site they are looking forward to getting the pink seats ripped out, free of charge.

Pink seats or not, the SoL is a hundred times better than the hotch potch excuse for a ground which is called the Sports Direct Arena...

    I'm sure it is.

Who you hosting in the Olympics? Our ****e stadium is welcoming Spain, Brazil and Mexico.

It just keeps getting better this year doesn't it? To be honest it would be criminal to not go and watch Brazil and Spain when they're on your door step.

Too right it would. When two of the best footballing sides in the world visit your city to play football in your stadium, you have to take advantage.

    Coming along lads?

I hope this happens. It is a chance for us to pop down and share a nice cup of tea with our fellow NE fans, they could then host us in their fine stadium before joining us in cheering on the Mags in Europe. Come on lads, what do you say?
