Who will get that coveted Premier League third place finish - Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal?

As things stand at the moment, both teams are level on 58 points after 31 games played so far, with Arsenal having a slightly better goal difference of +21 compared with Tottenham's +20.

Here are the remaining seven Premier League fixtures for both clubs...

...but another factor could be Tottenham's continuing participation in the FA Cup.

Spurs face Chelsea at Wembley on 15th April and if they win that, there's the Final on 5th May against either Everton or Liverpool.

if a semi final and potential final throws Spurs off track for CL footy then they dont deserve either.

    2 matches is all...

plus if they cant handle 2 matches and the last 7 league matches then there is no point qualifying for the CL which comes thick and fast as the season kicks off.

    Arsenal 3rd
    Newcastle or Chelsea, 4th

Newcastle are on better form but their remaining games will be tougher.

I cant see Arsenal getting 3rd... I have seen their last two games and they are losing it. When things are going against them they look like 11 red cards waiting to happen. Van Persie is turning into a bit of a fanny too.

If you look at the recent run of results playing teams that are deperate for points is proving to be harder than playing teams in the top half. - Dont count your chickens sirs!

So, Man Utd appear to have swapped places with Newcastle. Anything else changed in 7 years?

Fulham and Wolves are the only sides outside of the top eight that year to be in it this year and they both got promoted last season.
