    With Europe qualification adding to the fixtures, and ACoN in Jan, we really should be looking to keep hold of Obertan.

    We've seen what Pardew has been able to do with players like Perch and Raylor, both of whom were pretty **** at one point. If he thinks he sees the makings of a player in Obertan,I'm happy that he takes another season givign it a try. He's got raw pace on his side, so add a bit of skill and you never know

    He's got the pace and he isn't without skill, he just doesn't seem to know what to do with the final ball.

    I remember Jonas being 'useless', 'a waste of space' and having 'no end product'...

    I think Obertan is a good impact sub and hopefully he will improve his game and become a dependable member of the squad.

    No he isn't because Heskey actually succeeded with Liverpool. Especially in his first 3 seasons

    What are you smoking? obertan is a great asset to have, like shola. Great impact sub, came on against blackburn and scored a good goal, he's just been injured lately, and next year in the europe league he'll be playing 90'' every time much like Gosling, Best, Perch Raylor. We need these guys. They're exactly what we need. Apart from McLovin who is set to leave due to age I think we have a great squad atm, and we need bodies when playing in europe next season. Guthrie Perch Obertan Marveaux, Shola and Best up top, should do ok against teams like Mönchengladbach Zuerich Bilbao etc.

    Always liked Heskey even in his Leicester days. Heskey is a decent guy too.
