Just my view and worth no more than my view but we seem to have some of our flock getting upset about one post, I can only see one post, saying well done Newcastle, terms like arse licking, sucking up being thrown in. This is the Sunderland board I read, well yes, that's the point.

I neither hate or love Newcastle fans, some I like, others I don't. I want us to beat them and love it when we are above them but I don't lose any sleep when we lose or they are above us, why not, well because Sunderland are my team and its Sunderland I care about, one of Bruce's major errors was putting to much store on beating them and being above them, again just my opinion.

Newcastle have had a fantastic season, so have we IMO considering O'Neill's starting point so to say well done is not arse licking or sucking up to me, its being polite gracious and I would suggest that those who get so wound up about it care more about Newcastle than I do.

So go on, hug a mag, hug mind, not squeeze to death, you know you want to.

I have mags who i work with do i hate them no, its the arrogant we are better than you attitude i hate, yes they have done well better than i thought do i think they have been lucky at times DAMN RIGHT I DO played off the park at swansea and QPR, even Everton at home earlier in the season but still came away with something. One thing is for certain if they fail to finish 4th i for one will be over the moon. If they do finish 4th i may have to move away for a year as i don,t think i could stand listening to them.

Play a different record man. We couldn't have been any less humble this season. As for the luck factor, that is just pure envy and rivalry.

Look at Marty hiding from nasty Pards. Wimp.

Was tempted to hug a mag I work with just to scare the **** out of him
Settled for just looking at him speculatively - same result without the physical contact

I think most Sunderland fans I've spoken to or seen on here have been pretty good to be honest. Even Cest conceded in one post that he thought we had done really well and fair play to us (I swear I'm not making it up)...Similarly, aside from the odd mouth piece, I think we've been pretty well behaved, mostly given the fact that we're as surprised as anyone else!

Bishop Auckland is a fairly neutral place, but most of my closer mates are Sunderland fans...Because of this, I generally keep on an eye on your results and watch the odd game, gives me something to talk about over a pint. Of course I want to finish above you, outscore you, beat you when we play you and be, in general, the bigger/better team, but isn't that the point of being a football fan? Nothing personal for me, just pride in my own club!

And yeah, I've got to agree with Chiek here...The Swansea result was far from lucky, they did nothing with that possession, passing it between your DM, back 4 and keeper doesn't win you games! Pardew said in his pre-match press conference that we would sit back, let Swansea have possession and catch them on the break...What happened? We sat back, let Swansea have possession and caught them on the break! I don't see how this is luck? WBA beating Liverpool 1:0 was luck, they were dominated in possession, shots on target, shots off target, corners and territory, Liverpool hit the woodwork twice and had shots cleared off the line, then WBA sucker punched them after a Liverpool mistake (and poor goalkeeping) it wasn't the case for us against Swansea...We have had luck in a few games this season, but that wasn't one of them!

You's are where you deserve to be, the league table really doesn't lie.

Congratulations on this season and I sincerely hope you fall apart next season <ok>

Hug a mag? Would rather mug a hag.

They have had a blinding season, but hugging the bastards (even if my arms were long enough to go round one, which they're not) is a step too far pour moi.

This is more like how it should be, wishing us your worst. Its just wrong to be going out of your way to wish your neighbour well. Can I just say now if Sunderland ever do qualify for Europe (hey I'm serious), I'll be the first to wish you to go out in the qualifying rounds.

Hear hear. May your European sojourn be cut short with a 5-0 thrashing off Valetta FC in Malta...

Or better still a 5-0 thrashing at the SOL.
