Personally i feel we should go for them in the summer or failing that a season long loan. The way Stewart has been playing makes it look like he doesnt want to be here anymore and IMO if we can get 1 mill for him in the summer we should sell. I think King is strong and quick and plays well in our current system and Brady is quick, can head a ball and can get a good delivery in early and IMO we should make these 2 a priority for next season. Thoughts?
Sell Stewart, get King in on loan and maybe another winger on loan and another winger on a free (Ramon Nunez ?)
Stewart has the talent, selling him now we will get barely nothing for him. If we give him a pre-season hopefully he can show us what he did when he came back from injury. I would take King, as his pace is devastating, but we definately need at least two wingers.
Is King a bit injured at the moment? Can't understand why he's been on the bench the last couple of games. Think we should sign both of them.. I'll be worried if we have to rely on Garcia and Stewart next season!
Yes, or no decision at all. He started great and got worse as the season went on. Same situation as Stewart really but it annoys me less because he isn't actually our player. Josh on the other hand has got better as the season has gone on. I would have no complaints if he was with us next season, either on loan or permanently.
I'm amazed at how quickly most people have written off Stewart. Going into January, most of us were desperate to hang on to him - now we want to get rid? A bad half season does not make a bad player. David Silva has had a poor half season, in a similar period as Stewart, I don't think many would recommend Man City getting shot of him for a quick profit. We know he is capable of playing great football - and I think Barmby is a great manager for him to develop under. I'd love to see him starting for us in the first game next season.
I must be in a minority but I quite like Brady, like has been said he is only 20, he can improve and for me he has a bit of passion when he plays, he looks like he actually cares.
I agree with you. Put someone in the middle for him to cross to and he might stop trying to do it all himself.
Its not the fact that Stewart has been playing poorly that annoys me its the fact it looks like he doesnt give a **** about it, most players when playing badly will try harder but he looks like he cant be arsed, i normally aren't one for knocking players but Stewart really fustrates me. I think Brady is a greedy and i wasnt keen on him at the start of the season but as the season went on he started to get his head up a bit more, although he is prone to go it alone one or two times.
I think Nick will put a bid in for Josh King, I think he'll need to sit down and think about bidding for Brady though & he'll believe Stewart has a future so won't want to sell him. There will defo be a talk with Cam Stewart, something's got in his head, whether it's loss of confidence, agant talk, the crowd or the injury.. we know he can be a match winner and he isn't the complete article yet..
Brady is a lot more physical than Stewart too. Looks like Stewart doesn't want to hurt himself again after his injury..
If we manage to remove the high earners then surely we should be investing in a squad that can develop? If so then having Brady, Stewart and King should be the start of the building. Shame about Mannone not staying but financially we can't afford million pound players anymore. I'd hope that we can lose Olofinjana, Ghilas, McShane and McLean. I'd like to see Garcia stay along with King and Brady. Let some of our youngsters be brought on and then invest in some lower (non) league players in the region of £300,000. Don't let Koren, Fryatt, Hobbs, Chester, Rosenior go anywhere.
King yes, Brady no. King's ace, Brady thinks he's ace. I still don't think I've seen Brady pass the ball. Did I say King's ace? King's ace.
