I still think they will beat Wigan, Chelsea will be down after a heavy defeat at Camp Nou, Man City will not bother as the title will be decided by then, and Everton is beatable. The third place is still Arsenal's to loose, but we all know they are perfectly capable of it.
Wigan - We should win, but they're one of the most in-form sides in the league atm. Luckily, so are we. Chelsea - Draws against Spurs and Man Utd. If they can do it, so can we. Man City - Look at what we did to Man Utd at SJP... Everton - They're a fairly low scoring side, and luckily we have arguably the best strike force in the league atm on current form - Ben Arfa, Cisse and Ba. If anyone can put enough goals past Everton to counteract their scoring, it should be us.
I stuck £20 on Newcastle finishing top four at 28/1 in February. Please, PLEASE. I rarely bet but if I win this I can get a new laptop I suggest we have a newcastle - arsenal multiboard party thread if we both make the top four!
I would be happy to see Newcastle finish 4th, but I can't stand Alan Pardew for some reason. They hit the jackpot for winning £35m in the Andy Carroll-lottery funded by Liverpool Football Club, but the players they have signed with that money is just incredible. They also got rid off players like Barton or Nolan, which was a blessing in disguise. I think that self-centred people like them are not good for any dressing room. I think they will do, the key game obviously the one at Stamford Bridge.
We'll win 2 of them which should be enough, I don't know which 2 we'll win but that will happen I just have a feeling!
Wigan just got beat to bring them back down to earth a bit. I see Newcastle winning that game. Even if Spurs take 9 points from 12, Newcastle still only need 7 from 12 to pip them. Wigan - 3pts Chelsea - 0 pts Man City - 3pts (title will be over by then) Everton - 1 pt.
I agree. And I don't think Spurs are going to pick up many points to be honest. They seem to be in a real mess. I'm thinking we might get something from Chelsea mind. I really do. I mean if you look at their last 6 home results: Chelsea 1 - 0 Sunderland Chelsea 3 - 3 Man Utd Chelsea 3 - 0 Bolton Chelsea 1 - 0 Stoke Chelsea 0 - 0 Spurs Chelsea 2 - 1 Wigan Bolton aside (who suck) they have still had to grind out wins with rather fine margins in games. They also failed to overcome Man Utd and Spurs, and only really beat Wigan due to awful refereeing. We are the number 1 in-form team in the league at the moment, so I think they should be as wary of us as we are of them. If we turn up properly it will be the toughest home game they've had in weeks, which should make it very interesting.
The dark horse just keeps going! some people just wont see were a good side until it smacks you into the europa league. St James will be on fire just watch. we can do it we beat Man United 3-0 so don't keep writing us off mate.
I am not writing you off. You have done well but city are better than you. And everton are comparable to you and are at home and playing well. 5th or 6th for you boys. Your bad run earlier in the year cost you. I am not concerned about your club. Although I respect your achievement. Right now we need villa to do us a favour tomorrow and munich to be on it vs the chavs
We are better than Everton the league table doesn't lie? we have proved we can beat anybody when were at home and the pressure is on City. We can lose and still be in the running come Everton. I believe Arsenal don't like West Brom away? Tottenham could lose to Fulham last day. Statue of Sir Bobby unveiled tomorrow and the gods will be with us.
City are better than us... they're better than you but you beat them... You're better than Norwich but you beat Norwich...
You probably thought that about the Chelsea game we won 2-0 and I doubt you had us to beat Man U 3-0 either, Newcastle just keep proving doubters wrong.
So you think you will beat city? Say it if you think so. At least I aint on the fence. City will batter you. Thats my opinion. You think different? Say so.
The atmosphere tommorow will be absolutely out of this world! people will ****ting themselves in Manchester come kick off.
