First of all, still April and we've been planning for next season for a month now! Tell Sky's Soccer Saturday pundits that!

We all know second season syndrome and teams know how we play and will now will be out to get at us. They'll close us down and all that. I always thought that we will need a midfield enforcer, like a Roy Keane or a Toure. Barton could do a job when QPR go down? Surely, he couldn't command a massive salary then! I know Agustien has done well, but maybe just a back up. Siggy is now being touted by Newcastle, so that's bad news. So an attacking midfielder? Maybe McEachran on a season loan. Certainly more strikers. I am not impressed with Moore or Lita. Centre Back? Caulker back for another season loan? Dawson, King, Gallas above him at Spurs. Orlandi, Bodde, Gower, Monk, Bessone, Dobbie ... time to go.

Either way, we have to refresh the team to keep ahead of the game.

Jesus I would lose the will to live if Barton came anywhere near my club.

The only Barton worthy of mention is Dick Barton.

"Joey" can stay on his perch, the other side of Offa's Dyke, thank you very much.

I don't think I would be able to ever see a swansea shirt again if he put one on....

good player but we need 11 players on the pitch for every game and not 10 with his attitude on the pitch....when he gets it right he is a good player but his mouth lets him down, if it was not for that then a player like barton would be ideal......

Scott Parker would be on my wish list, good footballer with a cool head under pressure and a great passer of the ball

Joey Barton? Please God, no. I've followed this club for 20 years and I'd have difficulty putting on a Swans shirt if that over-rated attention seeker got anywhere near my club.

I think it's time to get rid of Tate. Thanks for all the memories but your time has come to an end. Caulker will probably go back to Spurs to cover Dawsons increasing injury concerns and Ledley King. I can't see Monk going just yet, we're a bit short of centre halfs. He didn't impress me against Spurs but he's still got some games in him. No doubt some other dead wood will be let go too, Bodde et al.

As for who we get in, then who knows! It's fairly obvious that we need a central defender. Someone with a bit of experience at this level. Sol Campbell?! ;)
