At least now we know why wee Nacho said "No Thanks.......I'd rather be paid tax free", they just forgot to print the quote!!!
I remember the 1987 World Athletics 100m final in Rome and then the 1988 Olympic 100m final in Seoul. Both won in incredible fashion by Ben Johnson. Yes I will not forget them, and I remember them well. But I also remember that dear old Ben won both titles through cheating. He was stripped of his gold medals and his world records. The same may well happen to Rangers. So even though one may remember the actual event, one will be aware that they are tainted and were in fact won by cheating, which is scandalous. It will just add to the satisfaction of the people who were wronged.
Excellent post -truer words never spoken. I remember the euphoria surrounding Johnson's seemingly wonderful achievement ... only to be devastated by the revelations of his 'enhanced' performance.
Nearly brought tears to my eyes ... then she started singing about 'Burnt out ends of smoky days'; 'the stale cold smell of morning'; and something 'dies' all of which brought me back to the reality of the situation with Rangers - and laughter-time again!
