Anyone looking forward to his return?

I really liked the look of him when I saw him play.

Not the quickest over a long distance, but over a short distance he's quite quick, and has great agility and good ball control.

His passing and vision also look great. He sent up a few great chances while playing.

He's great at picking out a little pass and unlocking a defence. I remember the one he played to Cabaye where we could have won it last minute at Notts Forest.

Hope he comes back all guns blazing.

I think he will be a bit like Benny next season and hopefully come good at the end of the season.

Very much so but if I'm being honest I'm not expecting this one to work out well. We can't just expect this latest operation to solve the problem. He's had something like 6 operations on the groin already! However we have sent him to the best so fingers crossed. If it could sort him out, he looks extremely talented with a wand of a left foot.

He looks quality from what I've seen, such a shame the injury problems he is having. Would be a handy option for that attacking left wing role and could even tuck in as a very competent attacking mid in Cabaye's place if needed. Looks like he has quite an eye for a pass. Hope he comes good although we were all aware of the gamble the club took signing him. Some pay off and some don't but there's still time for him to shine - five year contract wasn't it so we might as well bare with him.

Fortunately we have the ability, and for once even the inclination, to let players fully recover before returning them to action. Pardew and Co handled HBA perfectly on that score - - hoepfully they'll do the same with Marveaux.

I hope we don't see him at all this season. Let him take the light route through the summer freindlies with a view to bringing him on for cameos hopefully in the early part of the season, working up to a starting place when his body can handle it.

Frankly, I haven't been hugely impressed by the little I've seen of him, but then what do I know ?

He's not a great goal threat, but his vision and passing ability is a bit better.

Agreed, Marv can let fly too... like a less temperamental Laurent Robert.

We took a gamble on a couple of players because of their poor injury record - we've won with Ba as his knee hasn't been the slightest problem, yet.

Marveaux is the other side of the coin - he simply cannot stay fit and we need to release him once his contract is up.

Enough with the sick-notes already. <ok>

Great, let's hope he has enough time for a goal and 2 assists before the curtains call. :)

We are assuming he is a chronic sick note because he has been injured once while here ?

Shoudl have gotten rid of Saylor long ago.

The lad got a bad injury that could have happen to anyone, judge the guy next season, also on this basis we should be getting rid of Steven Taylor has he's injury prone and has a long term injury at the moment
