He wants out of Cardiff. Hates Mackay and has not been in any squad since the CC Final. AG tweeted that he will be back in the north next season a while back. Now we have lost Jack Hobbs and AG is a Free Transfer its a no brainer really. Plus AG can score a few goals. I think a possible deal with Grimsby maybe to take Conor Townsend back and Loan them Max Clark next season. Max needs proper first team action and the Cement League is perfect. If Townsend is not get ready for us after pre-season then Loan him out to a league club. Maybe Bradley and Townsend could go as a pair to Aldershot ? We have some good options with the youth. As for Liam Hearne ? i would think Nick has watched him already and why not offer £200,000 plus add ons. Its a good deal for all parties and we need a Goal Scoring Option on the bench next season. Thank god that the 7 subs are back for all games.
If they are going to offer him a new deal, they're leaving it fairly late in the day, I think he'll be leaving in the summer. Dawson has signed for another year.
It would not matter IF they did offer him one. Actually, secretly i bet AG hopes they do so that he can tell Malky where to put it ? lol.
Gerrard is a good defender, not as good as Hobbs or Chester though I have a feeling that he will end up at Leicester on a daft salary.
I think Leicester have more than enough central defenders already. I think they're more likely to be getting rid of some rather than signing new ones.
I would so much like him back on a perm.. best loan signing since that West Brom defender & Vito of course..
I've read around, don't know how true it is, that they are looking to shift Bamba, Mills and SSL. They won't have any defenders left if they do.
Leicester are looking to loan Mills out with a view to a permanent, SSL has come on and they will keep him, along with Bamba, although there are a few Premier League teams looking at the latter and if a good enough bid comes in, they will accept it. Gerrard is one of their targets for the Summer, along with De Laet, provided they can find a home for Mills. Some of Leicester's transfer targets are quite insane, others, pretty damn good. And yes, if you were wondering, it does bother me that I have inside links to LCFC and not HCAFC
Nice to know our most expensive keeper ever isn't someone who's failed to make a first team league appearance for us, although as a late 90s recruit it is pretty weird to think that Oxley does seem to be the most expensive since I started going.
3 of the Year 2 Trainees were offered pro contracts Midfielder Dougie Wilson and Strikers Lewis Clarkson and Johnny Margetts, Henry Gill has a chance to prove himself after being injured, the rest were released (surprisingly Jules gabbidinni and Jordan Holt). Will Aimson has been signed from eastleigh Fc. The year 1 trainees have some great prospects particularly Keeper Joe Cracknell (on the bench v Barnsley), Defender Ben Clappison and Striker Danny Chambers to name 3. Max Clark is just finishing school and will be a Year One Trainee Next Season
Cheers, for that. Since East and Townsend left the youth team (I know them both personally) I've not been too aware of who is in which year. I certainly didn't realise Cracknell was still a 1st year trainee. I guess he is one to watch, what with having made the 1st team at his age.
Thanks for that, the club never seem to announce the youth contract details and it's good to know what's going on.
My mate Adam has a little lad apparently being 'scouted' by city and he said his main selling point is he is both footed. Balance technique and being able to play competantly with any foot are skills sorely missing in a lot of youth training still.
