In regards to Gally, i wouldn't want to work anywhere where i was constantly being told i was **** at my job,i don't blame him if he puts in a transfer request at the end of the season. We have Milan to thank for some of the fans attitudes towards disposable managers. When Sven went, i was 50/50 (if he stayed i would have supported, if he went i wasn't bothered), mainly because i never saw it coming being 2 point off the playoffs. Im glad Nigel showed the willing that he wanted to return to be the Leicester manager, may have been a great payrise for him, but who cares, i will back him until hes gone, i think it would have worked better if he didnt get sacked in the first place, but the owners did really well getting the "publicity machine" SGE.
I´m getting ****** off with these NP articles already. I mean this is NOT NP´s squad & the last thing we need now is a new manager. Simple, NP needs the summer window as I have said before... many times. He needs to get rid of players that he & his staff don´t see are fit to wear the blue of LCFC, he needs time next season to make things work & he needs money which he´s not yet really had under Top. After all that & say around about Dec we can then start to say whether NP is the right man or not, but PLEASE no need to change things yet again.
Almost exactly my reaction - for the first time ever, I was tempted to ring up on the moan in to tell those idiots that this isn't Pearsons team - it is the remnants of Sven's (didn't because I cba to find the number in the end).
Nigel will build us a squad and a team over the summer. At tried to get more out the current lot and he couldnt. I am fully behind Nigel and i think he will get us in the prem if he is given time. If the owners back him then Nigel will fine some great players for us. On a budget he found some very good players. I think the problem was Sben didnt understand this divison. We had too many midfielders and not enough wingers and strikers.
Also remember that NP got Andy King firing on form that helped him into the national team! If he gets that form back then we have gained a whole new and quality player!
Don't personally think he will make it back in, especially if NP&Co has his eye on a new striker in the summer.
My objective was to see if I could tempt any doubters onto here, in order to see their possible alternative managers. So far the only name I have seen is Billy Davies!! Enuff said me thinks
Pearson - very boring and arrogant who swears live on air to our local sports commentator David Burns although Walshy and Shaky are ver nice people he is just arrogant and makes you feel you are not wanted
Beckford will leave as will Howard and Vassell. The front line next season will be Nugent, Waghorn and at least 2 new signings. I think Schlupp will end up going out on loan
Question for the doubters. If Nigel didnt leave first time around do you think we would be in the prem now? Nigel had put a very good team together at the time with people like Morrison, Hobbs, Weale, Berner, King, Wellens, Gallagher, Fryatt and Waghorn. Sousa came in a destroyed it and Sven dismantled it. But had he not left then i think we would of been in the prem already
He is arrogant. But wasn't Brian Clough? Jose Mourinho? Kenny Dalglish? It's not a bad trait in football.
I bumped into Nigel in Humberstone Gate and couldn't help notice that he had a number of ginger bristles embedded in his forehead - he explained that this had happened in his office when Matt Mills had come in to request some time off work o pursue his new venture with Paul Gallagher - apparently the pair wanted to audition as a ginger version of the Chuckle Brothers on Britain's Got Talent ... one of their props was a bucket of bullshit that Millsy inadvertently spilt whilst explaining the proposition to Nige and on which Nige then unfortunately slipped, accidentally banging his forehead on Millsy's chin .... so, as you'll now appreciate, there is no real problem in the camp ... just showbiz.
He signed some good players while at Hull, so if we had those players, we prob would have been closer to the autos this year, but still think we would have fell short and ended up in the playoffs.
johnfallen- i disagree with your constant attitude of negativity everytime we lose a game you are on here making me want to kill myself. And your tresponse is always defensive and as if the majority agrees with you and im on my own, anyways we are both leicester fans thats the main thing and both want success. If you read my post I was basically saying that this season has been average at best-agreeing with you!!!!! and i dont really like gallagher i think hes an average player with a decent shot on him, but booing him as he comes on? ****ing disgraceful behaviour. There are times when fans are right to vent anger- i joined in the 'what a load of rubbish' chant at peterborough as it was just that- i had paid well over 50 quid on tickets and trainfare to watch us lose at a non-league ground against a team mad eup of guys signed for peanuts from the lower leagues- and more to the point some simply wernot trying hard enough. I was merely stating some fans will never be happy at all until we have messi and drogba upfront- my point is we are average, we need a much better squad must better attitude and maybe (time will tell) a better manager to rise above mediocrity. Until then just cos we have wonga doesnt mean we are brilliant.
Arrogance is fine if you're getting the results to justify it - at the moment Nigel isn't but I think given time and he picks the best side and not his old guard then he will get the results.
