Weighty, agreed. Hopefully if we strenghten the first time some of our current first teamers will become squad players
I would like to see a young hungry CF ( Not Grunt Holt hungry, football hungry) We need a first name on the team sheet type goalie, this is where i would flash the cash. 1 x RB 1 x CB at least And i would keep Leadbitter, i know calm down , calm down , but he has been playing well of late. JB & LB can go...
I would say 3 min, but 4/5 as long as the quality is there.... Come on JWM and Lancs its not all doom and gloom , there's a chink of light at the end of the tunnel...
This season on the whole has not been great but we are on a run of 3 defeats in 17 games. We had a poor run before christmas but since the turn of the year have done very well. Looking at the table wouldn't suggest we have made progress but our form recently shows otherwise. I can understand why PJ isn't throwing the kids in. A strong finish will help attract new players and can also help build momentum and confidence for next season. We could do with a striker and defenders in the transfer window. We are pretty well sorted for attacking midfielders and the like so building a solid defence should be our priority. We have no problems creating chances, just need someone to finish them off.
Well so far i'm generally pleased with MR PJs signings . Some have not worked but most have imo. Positive thinking Coybs
Off topic but just discovered that the Donny game is a 12:45 kick off! A right ball ache to get to Donny for that time!
Ha ha not for me. I am gutted to see them go. Ground I have very much enjoyed visiting over the last few years and probably the nicest people in Yorkshire.
I must admit that I enjoy going to all the Yorkshire grounds particularly in Sheffield. One exception of course is L**ds!
i know we all agree that leadbitter has been a load of old tosh for the past few seasons but to be fair to him he had been one of our best players over the last few months. some of you will say that he has upped his game so he can get a move somewhere esle, but if he does end up signing for us then i think its about time we all gave him a clean slate for next season. yes he's been awful in the past but if he can kick on from here then he has the potential to be a very important player for next season. so we know that everyone on here is very much anti-leadbitter, but can you look past the last few years and see that if he stays and carries on then we are a better team with him in it?
I think before this season Leadbitter was a good player for us and if you look back i'm sure he would of been in everyones starting line up before the season begun...
