But I wonder why the Hull Daily Mail is nt changing its marketing policy to lift its readership profile to the new market that awaits? If they go online, they will be writing to a totally different audience from its existing Bianca and Robbie on Bransholme and need to improve accordingly.

Paid for physical newspapers wont exist in 10 years. We'll all either read online, with enahnced subscription elements, or pick up something akin to The Metro.

Well if the Fail did go to just 2 days a week then it would be the Friday/Saturday and Monday ones that stayed. Dont get it or miss it away from those days. Reading it online is fine but at the moment the online version is nowhere near what the hard copy is. But who knows what the future holds newpaper wise ?

Certainly wouldnt be Saturday - it's by far and away the lowest circulation of the week. They'd do Monday and Thursday probably.

I was brought up on a council estate.

My kids are being brought up in the most affluent part of an affluent village.

They're both under ten and if I ever hear them talk down to people because of where they live they'll know about it.
