we've got 3 strikers who are capable of notching up a decent goal tally in the prem, with the real plus being they're all very different in style. Just need a few more from midfield!

£1.8 million well spent, even if he doesn't cut it in the Premiership we couldn't have asked for more.

I personally think with a full pre season to bed in with the rest of the player and his fitness he can be a real threat in the Premiership next season (if/when we get there). Any decent club in the premiership needs to have at least 4 good strikers. We have Lambert, Sharp, Lee and I think we will bring in another (maybe another go for Hooper).

He's been about as good as a January signing can ever be. So many of them are flops. He'll do well next season I'm sure.

Yes no worries about Sharp at all. With a full pre-season getting him Southampton-fit he'll score goals in the prem. Best I've seen him play last night by a long way but I've not been to last few games.

He was in and out of the side when he first started due to Lee hitting a purple patch more or less as soon as he started. But in his first run in the team I would say he has taken the opportunity with both hands/feet.

he has to work on his first touch, our style of play means he will receive the ball with pace on it- he needs to control, lookup and lay off at the same time or the attack will falter

If he keeps off the pukka pies and implements the saints fitness regime then he'll be fine next season.

Loving Billy Sharp at the moment. Was only a matter of time before he came good. He clearly loves playing football and scoring goals.

I tend to agree with Bendit..., his first touch and control needs working on
He was a little better at Posh but generally it is his weakness and if he is to do well in the prem it has to improve as he won't get time to recover vs the top sides
As a compliment, he reminds me a little of Michael Owen in that I don't think he is a particularly gifted footballer but knows how to score goals - not a bad gift!
