If we got an offer for Fryatt, would you sell him?

I wouldn't consider this option unless we get a reliable replacement in first.

Fryatt's our top scorer so i don't know why some people are trying to run him out the club.

Erm......No i have not. I have met Chesters dad once in the car park and a few times in the lounge. Sorry if that was confusing for you. <whistle>

For the record i would prefer to keep Fryatt. But a crazy offer would be hard to resist and i wonder if a nagging wife may get into Fryatts head during the summer.?

    You've met Chester's dad?

I'm surprised you've never mentioned it before.

Fryatt is 16th, Chester is 63rd and Vaz Te is 99th.

    Seems legit.

Do you think he might have put the effort in tonight cos he wants to be in the shop window? Or just because the pressure's off?

Meaningless game bud, stand by everything I said. Had a feeling Barmby would not experiment tonight so gave the game a wide berth, probably for the first time years when not to do with work, too much to expect radical changes when the defence is makeshift as it is. Fryatt and Mclean haven't done it when needed and why would they next year if we were in the same spot. Other than that good to end the season with a few wins even if it was game over a while back.

when fryatts hit 15 and theres only koren anywhere near him it is a bit harsh to blame him i suppose, i just cant help but think of all the chances hes missed, he probably should have had 25 with the number of good chances hes had this season..
on his day like it sounds like he was tonight, he is as good as anybody, just needs to be on his day more often, and hopefully next season we can find a way to get our wingers and other players in better positions to help out scoring more as that is there problem, they dont waste chances they just dont get in the right positions often enough, so i suppose you could say fryatt misses so many chances because hes the only one intelligent enough to consistently get in the positions...

"If you think that his wife being unhappy helps him to settle then you are mistaken - it's a problem and it will not go away - if it had of been ide=ntified and dealt at Xmas we could all of moved on."

What do you suggest? A creche? A home help? He's contracted for another 2 years and as far as we know, no one has come in with a bid for him

"His work rate is first class, but his key role of striker is unfulfilled because he is left high and dry - either Barmby must change the midfield approach to find where Fryatts talent lies, or Fryatt needs to try adopting his attacking ideas and style to fit in with the midfield. It has not worked - or do you think it has?"

It seemed OK tonight. Did you think so too?

"He stopped scoring goals, he missed chances and never looked like creating any - I think that is running out of ideas. It happens to the best and that's where a good coach gets to work on them (or a sports pyshcologist)"

Yeah he was rubbish tonight eh?

"Barmby is determined to play a certain way, yet many supporters (and more recently the players) have expressed some frustration at how the talents and styles of the available players meld with the style aspirations of Barmby. It has worked in many ways except that of end product."

So the supporters know best do they?

It's a work in progress with a young team
