Im assuming that Lambert has taken every 1 of Saints' penalties. Kinda supports my theory of him getting much less amount of goals from open play as people realise
Also only one penalty has been missed by Southampton and that was Billy Sharp who took that at Blackpool.
Thank **** we have Kasper in goal. We have given away miles too many this season. Kasper has saved 4 and another hit the crossbar.
Jesus Reading are poor at penalties. taking six and missing four! For the record QPR got 13 last year and scored them all.
The point of penalties here isn't necessarily anything to do with diving etc, a lot of it is simply if you get the ball in the box more there's more chance of something happening and you make your own luck...
He's scored 27 goals.... take away 9 from 27 and you get... 18 Also im sure he has scored a couple from freekicks He's still by far the best striker in the league and would get into any team. Just saying he doesn't score as many from open play as his stats may suggest. Personally I think its not his goalscoring alone that makes him a good player, more his ability to hold up and bring others into the game as well as create. But ofcourse, you know this...
Not direct from freekicks; he's headed in a couple, but he hasn't scored with his foot from one all year in league play, unless I'm very much mistaken.
Well open play doesn't include scoring a header from a free kick. Again, not that I wouldn't have him in my team, playing alongside McCormack, that'd be great
